It's a not such a good day moneywise today. The skip we ordered is too small so we'll need to order another one on Tuesday which is more money.
Then OH got a speeding ticket through!!!! So thats another £70 to go on the speed awareness course. And I'm sure there was something else I was annoyed about concerning money...but I can't remember now.
ETA: Car goes in for it's MOT on Wednesday...that was the other expense. And the weather has just reminded me that I need a winter wardrobe!! :eek:Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Hi Twinklie,
Sorry to hear you are not having a good day of it money wise
Any chance you could empty your skip by advertising the items on freecycle, and get people to collect them asap?
Guess if its building stuff that many not work!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Thanks earthgirl but it's just bits of chewed up concrete and whatever other little gems were in the ground we've dug up in order to lay the foundations. So can't freecycle anything.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I hope things pick up and the speeding ticket was a one-off for OH?
Like you we await the "glorious" hot sunshine promised today before autumn sets in; it seems the latter has arrived early...0 -
List is long but I've got a week to tackle it. I'm not back in until a week today!
Although I am slightly depressed at the thought of going back. I just don't think I have the energy! I'll be fine once I get going though....I hope! :rotfl:
Speeding ticket better had be a one off or I'll kill him!! He was dropping a volunteer home after the marine mammal survey in an area he didn't know. He thought he was on the duel carriage way - he wasn't. Still, at least he was offered the speeding course.
I thought I was flashed back in July I think it was (although I wasn't aware I was speeding if I was) but I've still not heard anything. But then I wasn't sure if it was a car behind/next to me. Our council takes about 8 weeks normally to issue the speeding ticket though - DH's ticket was from another area. So I'm still living in hope that I don't get one.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Right, as for the list, I'm thinking if I do all my house stuff today then I get to concentrate on the school stuff tomorrow. Although I will have to pop out to post my parcels. Got to have car in garage on Wednesday for MOT as well so thats a full days work in on Wednesday.
Still feeling positive I can get it all done.
EDIT: Whirlpool AWZ 3518 tumble dryer decided upon!
Ebay parcels wrapped labelled and ready to go in the morning.

Been quite busy over the last few days so I have just caught up on your thread. You are doing well on the list front. I am in the process of compiling ths week's one. I posted the essay this morning, it is a relief but now I need to start on the dissertation/presentation. I would say when will it stop but I know as soon as this course finishes I will be looking for something else to do so I may as well make the most of this one for now.
Keep updating us on your progress and if you want a nudge in the right direction then just yell!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
