I had a DFW diary initially...but then ended up with just the mortgage so I moved over here. Unfortunately, our car broke before we had the full funds to buy it out right which is why we now have that as well. But I don't see it taking too long to pay that off (3 years?).

If you do start a diary let me know so I can follow your goings on. x

[*][STRIKE]Keep harassing people at uni until I find out HOW to post them!! And the number of copies I need!!! [/STRIKE]Need to print assignment (both copies 48 pages each) but found out I could get OH to hand it in for me next week so I don't have to post it! :j

OMG...my brain hurts. I feel so stressed. I've just found a job for an assistant educational psychologist job (totally by accident I might add) and it's even closer than school.

The blurb says: The AEPs will have opportunities to work with experienced EPs in order to develop the skills that will support their applications to the Universities in order to become fully qualified educational psychologists. The @£@£@$£@£ EPS has a very comprehensive CPD programme and AEPs will be encouraged to participate in CPD. The AEPs will also have regular supervision with a Senior EP who will support them in developing their applied psychology skills.

These posts are aimed at providing people who are interested in becoming an educational psychologist with an opportunity to develop skills to support career progression.

OMG....how odd this comes up now...I've never seen anything like this advertised before and believe me I've looked. I'm so confused. The closing date is the 11th and the start date is the 1st of October. Now I'm going to assume that if I did that I'd be burning my bridges with school...I really don't know what to do! Is it too soon? Am I ready to jump ship? Help!!

Look after number 1... investigate, if now isn't right then maybe later?
Looking won't hurt, but if these are like hen's teeth then you may want to grab the opportunity now.

      Good luck

You have a psych degree, so I think you could be perfectly suited. Give them a call tomorrow and ask for more info - you don't know 'till you try.

School will require you to work notice - although they can come to other arangements -do you know how much you have to give?

Erm...It's standard teaching deadlines that apply - so handing in notice now would mean I should work through till xmas. So I'm not sure what would happen there if I'm honest.

Like you say I can ask for more info...it is the leaving work thats worrying me though - all depends on my head giving me an early release from my contract.

It would also depend on me being offered the job/called to interview! :rotfl:

    • Hello there... It's clear from what you've written that you have a real yearning for this new opportunity. Please give yourself the time to investigate further - unless you suss it out, it may come to represent a 'what might have been', which would be such a pity!

Oh yes, and this is def. the time to put no. 1 first. Difficult, I know, but you owe it to yourself and those who might eventually benefit from your expertise, to pursue something you're passionate about.

      Good luck!!
