  • If ever there was a job for a dfw it is mine. You get the head down and get on with it. I only really started doing this two weeks ago and already I am halfway to clearing my o/d. Little acorns and all that. Hires I wouldn't normally have taken, I now think sod it is another x ammount of the debt.

Anyway I am off for beer :D

You are doing really well and true..it's a good job to help pay the bills off cos at the end of the day if we need more money we stay out longer.Hope you enjoyed your beer.
Am having day off today..so will be straight back at it tomorrow.Have a good one.
  • I was meant to be off today. Didn't quite work out that way. I was taking OH and her DD to Hospital in East Kilbride. They kept the DD waiting from 10.15am until 1.00pm. First thing I am getting when I am DF is Bupa membership:D

Tesco on the way home. Spent less than my target £40. I bought razors as well so I am quite pleased with that. Saved £1.20 by getting juice for week from local shop instead of in Tesco.

I then went to work for just under two hours. Made £31.20 that I wouldn't have had.

Paying the £30 into the account in the morning.

    A tiring day off:)

Well done it's amazing what extra effort we put in when we want to..lol
  • It certainly is. I also knocked back a ticket for the League Cup Final on Sunday. Mainly due to work commitments but more to the fact it would be at least £100 day out. Plus the £40-£50 I wouln't make on the Sunday.

I'm begining to scare myslef here:D

WELL DONE...you are in danger of becoming a true DFW nerd...don't you know!!!!...LOL...
Seriously ..you will soon be out of debt just by thinking before spending...it's seriously helped me.
I've paid £12k off since last july and paid £2,500 on windows so far this year and also saved holiday money and tax money so far...
One of my biggest ways of saving money was to look at every single bill in the house and see if I could reduce it...that has saved £1000s

My OH is by far my biggest outgoing:rotfl:

Saved £90 as well today by not renewing my AA membership. Skoda give you 3 years free RAC membership. I called them today when I was waiting in the car at the hospital. The woman tried to get me to stay she didn't realise she was dealing with a new improved debt free wanabee now:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

good luck with all that ...I hope the weather is ok all week for you we are meant to get it bad later here!!!
  • The wind is starting to get up here. It can blow all it wants, I won't be back out the door tonight. Turned out not to bad a day today made the target, just. Glad to be in though as I am knackered.

Now for the disaster the OH needs a new roof for her house. Need to wait and see how much that will cost. Not my house but it will affect me big time.
