    Morning all!!

(((HUGS))) to all those who want/need them ... especially hillstep .. hope there's no tears later
I'm on top of housework, washing and ironing :T Just paperwork to go ... but only about half an hours worth to do :D

We have ice but also a blue sky :D makes the world of difference to me to see a bit of blue sky in the morning.

I've got a really busy day ahead so am going to just grab something (anything :rotfl: ) out of freezer for dinner.

The cat's really dopey and a bit simple .. or so I thought but she's started asking to go out (we haven't got a cat flap :o ) and then when I get up to open the door she runs back and pinches my seat :rotfl: ... maybe she's not so daft after all

Hope everyone has a great day,

    Luv xx

    morning everyone!
Nothing much doing the last few weeks OS wise just the usual.
This week we have all been given new bins for recycling tins, paper, card and plastic bottles so have been sorting our rubbish out as we go.
Really we already do recycle quite a lot with the compost bins but it will be nice to be able to recycle plastic bottles and tins too.
Yesterday was my Asda day where I do my weekly shop.
They were selling those big bags of bananas for 20p instead of 97 so we are all stocked up. Might dry some in the dehydrator I think else we will start to look like them.
Hubby came with me to find some gloves for him to wear on his motorbike in the summer. Ended up in wilkos and bought some of those cream leather gardening gloves. Just by the till we saw the same pair on the reduced trolley so quickly decided they would do instead and saved a £1. I had to buy some waterproof transparent tape as something/one forced the window on the shed and a piece had snapped off. They are only plastic windows. Nothing taken though,it only holds the gardening hand tools.
Last day of DD's half term hol so she is frantically doing homework LOL
    Bye for now

morning everyone. Busy day today - dashing off to work in a few minutes. Picking up our wedding photos this afternoon which should be good and then have to race round the shops for some food as well.

Had a good clean of the kitchen yesterday but i also need to give the rest of the house a good going over. It never seems to stop!

Dinner is blue cheese risotto and lunch is an interesting sandwich combo using the leftovers from the fridge!

have a good day and see you all later x

DORRY - good luck with the new job.

HILSTEP - hope work isn't too bad today; you are allowed to cry, though, it's still so recent.

CRAZY - I hope you go to the doctor, especially if you are feeling dizzy. Hope you feel better soon.

I only sat down here whilst I was combing my wet hair before drying it and now it's almost dry anyway. I've done all the basic chores and have been walking round in circles wondering what to start next. I have a lot to do and I need to prioritise - thing is, it's so easy to get distracted, isn't it?

Well, I think I'll start by putting the kettle on - again!

    See you all later.

Late this morning as I have been battling with a new laptop. The 't' fell off on our old one and DH supeerglued it back on, hence the new laptop  I am really struggling as the keys are in the wrong place , they have all moved left IYKWIM :o

Lovely bright day here today, but have work, so will have to miss out on pegging out the washing.

Fell off the SW wagon at the weekend, had a curry and a few glasses of wine, but am back on track now so salad and tuna for lunch. Am doing a beef casserole in the slow cooker for DH, but I will have the chicken legs from yesterday. I don't normally eat them, but I bought a free range chicken and it cost £9.55  so have to eat every little bit

Hugs to Hilstep, don't worry, I cried all the time after I lost my Mum, people will understand

    Hope everyone is OK x

Morning everyone, is the room for a little one here? I don't think I've posted on this thread before but I do sometime have a nosey to see what you're all up too!

Today I have an appointment at the opticians but before that I need to have a quick hoover around, clean the kitchen sides and wash up the breakfast dishes and if I have time, do a bit of the ironing. Must admit I have been a bit lazy over the half term holiday and only ironed the kids uniforms ready for today....the rest is in a basket in my bedroom!

Must make a move soon or I'll never get motivated.

  • Hiya all

Used to post a bit on here, doubt any of you will remember me, more a lurker then a poster lol

Having to get back in my OS ways as much as possible, as I was made redundant last Thurs, and only given a weeks notice, so gonna need to save money anyway I can till I find another job  But part of me is unsure if I want to get another job, would kinda like to stay at home for a bit and play the dutiful housewife :rotfl:but I guess that doesnt pay the bills lol

So thought the best way to get started would be to start posting on here again, as this thread always gives me a kick start to the day. Stopped posting last time as my job took over all my time, but no chance in that happening at mo lol

My plan whilst im not working is to get the house back on track, save and make money wherever and whenever possible and use my spare time to my full advantage. Already enrolled myself back in the young mums group I used to go to before I started working full time, be nice to catch up with all the group members as Ive missed them loads, was nice to meet up once a week, for a coffee and a natter, also lots of opportunities to improve myself through free courses they run, so that will help me better myself whilst i look for another job.

My plan for today is get a load in the WM as the weather lookjs pretty clear here today. Have a pile of washing which I have been putting off as I didnt want to use the TD, so been waiting for some sunny weather to hang it outside. Gonna do an hr on the exercise bike this morn. I usually only do an hr in evening, but might aswell step it up a bit now i have more free time, and do an hr in the day too ( I will lose some weight and slim down  feels like im not losing anything at mo ) Sausage casserole for dinner, will make some crusty herby bread in the breadmaker to go with it. If the weather holds out will clean my car out and brush the paths etc out the back.

Sorry for the long post, had so much to get off my chest :o

Hugs to all that need them, bye for now, luv Hels xxx

I use a small jar which once held dried herbs to make salad dressing. Lid fits well, it is easy to keep in the fridge and you can give it a good shake to mix the dressing.

    Will pop back later.

  • just about to have another cuppa before i get ready for work... will try and work like mad to day to get the wrok done, so i can come home early to do a bit more to the kitchen...when i was out and about yesturday.. i forgot to buy a little roller to paint the kitchen doors..lol.. got the brushes though...so will go to focus for that, and get some more free paint too with the vouchers...

very frosty here this morning... but it does look as though its going to be a nice day... but a cold one.... my tumble dryer packed up a few weeks ago... and so far managing without one in the house... but on the odd occassion where i have been over run with wet washed clothes i have taken them to work to dry...:D one good thing about being the boss...lol...

hubby made a curry last night with left over chicken... so if i defrost the remains of the christmas cooked turkey meat to add to the curry it will do for another meal for the family tonight...

hope everyone is ok this monday morning......
