Hello All !
Think its going to be one of those days...............not a good nights sleep so feeling like I need matchsticks to keep eyes open and I've got a meeting this afternoon...........well two really, one follows the other !
Thought I'd pop down town this morning to get a frame for the old sepia photo I'm sending to Mum.............what a carry on. Seems postcard size nowdays is bigger than the postcard size photos folk used to have taken. That's just for a start.........then I looked at the silvery coloured ones......well they were mirror shiny and would distract from the photo..........no gold coloured ones to speak of and the price at the photo shop was more than I could afford for one little photo frame. So, ended up at a little shop and got a silver one with a dull finish for £1.99.........bumped into someone I hadn't seen for a while and was clock watching while I was talking to him (hate that when folk do that to me but I really was trying to get stuff done). Bought some card from the card shop in case I have to do a mount for the photo and now I look at it, the frame doesn't look quite right and I'd have been better off having a pale wooden one ! Shop will change it for me but I can't get down till tomorrow morning.........and he has got a smaller one in a darker wood..................thinking about it that might be better. No good ringing OH and asking him to pop in there.......he won't have a clue so it'll be tomorrow now....................oh b** !! Wanted it all done today so I can wrap it up and get it posted off.................
Oh well, worse things happen don't they so what on earth am I getting in a fluster for.......................lol
Have a good day all and hugs (((((((((((((((((:o ))))))))))))))) to all those who need them,Mary

Afternoon all
Hugs to all the poorlies, sad and worried amongst us and a big hi to all the newbies and returners
fairly productive today - Finishing off last week's flylady list, fixed a couple of chairs that have been broken for ages and had a nice chat with a tax credits lady. I had got a letter from them asking to call and she kept asking me if I'm sure that I'm still a single parent so I'm not sure what's going on there - she was ever so nice about it but it's a bit galling having to confirm that yes I'm still Steffie-no-mate. have also dyed my hair this morning - some naughty fairies have been putting silver highlights in overnight. nothing to do with age of course- i am still in my thirties and have been for nearly twelve years now. its still damp so i wait with bated breath to see if it "took" or not.
plans for this afternoon are to carry on cleaning and finish a bit of hardanger that I've been working on for a couple of years but now has a deadline in that it will be a present for mil and fil's wedding anniversary the weekend after next
have a good rest of the dayI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

I have been in my 30s (cough) for over 20 years now!!!
The silver streaks the fairies kindly leave me are now all over my head!!!!;)
Have been to the health centre and my arm is now all bandaged up and I feel like the revenge of the mummy!
I need to go every day to get bandages changed for a week and fingers crossed that it will not get infected.
Finally told DH what had happened as he had not really noticed and I did not want to worry him.
Having a quiet cup of coffee and then need to go to the post office."This site is addictive!"

Well i'm having one of my worried days today, where everything seems like a really big deal!!! Firstly, i'm so stressed about uni.....i have 3 essays to hand in before 14th March and i'm stressed already! Secondly, I am sick of my days strating at 7am and not finishing til around midnights....feel tired all the time. Thirdly, I know my house needs a big clean and tidy, its not horrible but its not how i like it. But i get in form uni, work, eat, work, have half hour to myself and go to bed!!!!! Just dont have the time and its frustrating!!!
Well I think thats ok for now!!!! On the plus side, i had conformation of my order for mybrothers birthday present (its on saturday) and i know what im getting mum for sunday.....just need to sort out dads for monday now!!!

tine, have you tried a 35mm film canister - they have very tight lids and are a good size for salad dressing.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Wasn't going to post today, nothing happening, nothing to say:o
However I had to so I could say wannasavemoney, there is absolutely nothing sad about being so pleased with your new Panny:D Some on here will try to convince you otherwise, or accuse you of *unnatural* feelings towards it, but you and I know better:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: It does make lovely bread soto them:D
Thinking of you smokybabe, hope DH has improved over the weekend.
DG hope DH gets discharged today.

Hi everyone!!
Just got back home from taking mum to Heathrow this morning- she is finally on her way to Oz - all on her own at 74yrs!! bless her:A Had a lovely check-in lady who sorted out her seat - seeing as Qantas/Austravel had put her inside and not in an aisle seat:rolleyes: She hates having to disturb anyone next to her that's asleep to try and clamber over them to get to the toilet!:rotfl:
First time to Terminal 4 - no shops to look round while you wait like the other terminals - oh well saves your money I suppose!:rotfl:
Then went to my sister's to wait for the Leccy Man to change the meter (as I will be her carer while mums away) - who thankfully came at 1pm - (call out is between 12-8pm) was dreading sitting there till about 6pm - but I thought it wouldn't be that late as I know they like to finish early;)
Pam - glad you phoned the hospital x
Off to see what needs doing in the household now!
Have a good monday all xx
Edit: that reminds me...haven't seen any news yet.....who won the Oscars????
