I am in love with my Panasonic breadmaker

  • Hi,

I have an older Model Panasonic BM, and I seem to recall that there was a re-set process that involved holding one of the buttons down. If it was really caused by a power cut, then I would think that a re-set would clear the error message, and allow you to start again.

I believe that they will resume after a brief power cut, but if it goes on too long - I would image that that is what caused your error message.

Have a look in the manual for procedure to re-set.

    Best wishes,

    White.
  • bought one of these before christmas and havent stopped using it. There was a recipe on the forum here on how to make banana bread using pizza cycle to mix the ingredients for 5 mins, stopping it and then using the bake only cycle for 55 mins.

My problem is that when I stop the pizza cycle after 5 mins, I cant choose any other settings to get it onto the bake only cycle. I have to turn it off at the plug for 20 minutes so that the settings are forgotten. This is not ideal and have instead turned to mixing by hand in a bowl and then using the bake only cycle. Can anyone point out what I am doing wrong ???

    Thanks

    PS its the SD254
  • I think the internal battery keeps the info you've programmed in just in case of a momentary power glitch. I have to turn mine off for around 10 minutes too until it 'forgets' what I have set it to of I am changing settings so it isn't faulty or anything just normal for this breadmaker.
    Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000
    Save £12k in 2013 no.34 £11,800/£12,000
'How much can you save' thread = £7,050
    Total=£29,100
    Mfi3 no. 88: Balance Jan '06 = £63,000.
    Balance 23.11.09 = £nil. :)

    Hi
To cancel the program hold down the start?stop button for a few seconds and the display will go blank and the light goes off around the button.
Press the same switch again a few secs after and it can be reprogrammed.

Can someone repost instructions / recipe for this........sorry to repeat old posts but did a search and could not find original recipe.......Ty ;)
  • Here ya go Jammygal. This is the link to the recipe. I would definitely use less sugar, found the original to be too sweet. Have got down to about a 1/4 of cup and tastes about right to me, but then everyone is different

I had tried this, but when I press the start/stop button again to get the bread maker on it wont let me reprogram. Will have to try it again tomorrow, just to be sure.
  • After you've switched it off, try pressing the "select" button til you get the program you require, then press start.;)
I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!

Hi, my favourite up to now is the Sandwich setting using one teaspoon of olive oil, always a lovely loaf that is still fresh the following day.

I would appreciate if someone could give a recipe for a medium raisin and a medium fruit loaf please :)

One other thing, how long does it take for the beep to add the raison/fruit from starting the baking process.
    Thanks.
