Here I stand before you my peers

Tomorrow I am going to stop faffing about and am at work. Being at work I cannot drink so give me a 6 day start straightaway.
When I am days off I will NOT buy drinks to consume at home. I will now only have the odd lager when I am out. This is not much I hasten to add.

It has come to a time in my life when I need to start looking after my body. I had a dream last night about my internal organs :eek:. My lungs were saying "Thanks for stopping that horrible smoking habit you had" and then my liver popped up,very quietly at the back and said " But what about me".
I am sick of seeing my OH look at me with pity when i crack open another can at 3pm in the afternoon. I am sick of not planning on going anywhere with my Kids in the late afternoon as It will creep into my drinking time. I am sick on bin day knowing when my re cycling bin is emptied because of the noise it makes. I am sick of being ruled by drink. Thinking when I can have one and if it is to early. Hoping no one pops round at lunchtime in case I have started Early.

I mean it this time and I need to apply the same reasoning as I did when tackling the smoking.

I will celebrate tomorrow when Utd win the league with a sparkling water

Hi YM and everyone else. I'm at work supposed to be um, working, but really can't be foofed with it this afternoon. Been messed around so much by the flipping company lately I think I'll go home early.. It's Friday after all !

Well done YM for your declaration and good luck..... and for the record, I can do the drinking thing (most nights of the week anyway) but the smoking thing I CANNOT CRACK...... so, bearing in mind you have done that you deserve a medal..... and you Lurkio (you're back !!!)

Had a wobbly few moments coming home, I think purely cos it's Friday, not that I'm going out but it's just a weekend thing. Plus OH is going out so I've got the remote control to myself. Went to Tescos and treated myself to 4 bottles of Stella....non alcoholic! Well, actually they are classed as low alcohol, but 0.5% really is not worth worrying about in my book. I'd probably have to drink about 60 bottles to begin to feel anything!

Night is still young though, when OH goes out there's nothing stopping me going out and getting some beer and no-one would know. Oh.....I would....Oh....I'd have to admit it to you lot! Looks like it's hot choc and early to bed for me

Low Alc Stella ? Not come across that one.

Mrs BHB has some 0.5% Cider tonight. I'm not even risking that. I'm on Ribena and fizzy water. Quite nice actually - not as nice as Hot Choccy I have top say, but it will have to do me. I am soooooo determined this time.

Good luck everyone - Friday night is probably the hardest.

The 0.5% Stella is not nice, tastes just like the non-alch Becks which is slightly better than the Kaliber (I've tried the lot over the years :rolleyes:), The first one I had fridge cold, second one I'm now drinking out of the freezer but it doesn't improve it much. Having a difficult time this evening. Gotta go down the road and drop OH at the station at 8'ish, I have to drive past around 7 shops that sell beer :eek: I'm really worried

I would be . You should be saving your petrol with all the "alleged" shortages :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
I have a 5 litre green petrol Container full of unleaded. Might put it on Ebay :rotfl:

Stay strong. Just like giving up smoking. We have done that. We can do this :T
