Oh God Leigh, what a situation! Is there no way you could afford to move on and find somewhere of your own to live? You don't sound happy there. I'm sorry to hear about the job, I wish I could think of another alternative rather than getting another line. Keep thinking of your contingency and keep posting on here rather than drinking, I need the support myself at the moment
BHB, you are doing fantastically wellGood luck for the test results, although I'm sure they'll be fine, let us know
Had a bad afternoon/early evening of craving. I was actually driving along thinking to myself about how carp I felt on Monday morning and that if I drink tonight then I'll feel like that, but I kept trying to justify it, well not justify exactly, just thought booger it I'll worry about it when I wake up
So what I did is went to Tesco and spent my non-drinking savings (which weren't actually saved) - £7.50 :T on choklit, hot choklit, pringles and a magazine :rotfl:
Since I've got home and know I have no drink here it's been a bit easier, just about to settle down in front of the Apprentice with a hot choccy and a choc crispy cake....oh I didn't mention I bought those too did I?
Hope everyone else is well?
Woohoo day 3 and no hangover in the morning :T

Hello everyone.
Cant think of anything to help at the moment Leigh only as others suggest.Move or get another line. But please keep posting and if this job falls through dont despair, something will turn up.
I always think 'What will be,will be.All things happen for a reason'
Well done BHB. Only three more days to the magical thirty, which I think Joe suggested was when you really feel the benefit of No Alcohol.
Well done to you Jo too.Day three is excellent. You just keep eating the chocolate, honey.
Day 17 for me. It was day 18 when I caved in last time,so heres to tomorrow.
Well done to all cutting down or giving up.

Here's to day 18 for you MollyPolly :T have you noticed anything different about yourself yet, do you feel better or look healthier?
SM, eating? Don't talk to me about eating! As well as buying all that stuff yesterday to eat and drink, I decided to buy a few bits to keep in the desk at work in case I get peckish as I forgot to take my breakfast and starved till lunch. I bought 3 packets of tesco choc bars, cup-a-soups and more pringlesI'm gonna be as big as a bus :rotfl:
Right well, a little disappointed today as although, yes woohoo, it's day 4, I actually woke up feeling like carp! I have to take into consideration that I've got a chest/throat thing which is lingering but in general I felt wiped out. I forgot that for the first week (or 2) the toxins are leaving the body which makes you feel rough. But, if all goes well and I'm sat here tomorrow saying 'woohoo day 5' that means I no longer will have any alcohol in my body as it takes 4 days to rid.
Right, hope all are well, I better go to work, I just looked at the time and I'm\ leisurely sat here

afternoon all- hope everyones ok, leigh- hang on in there mate, something'll come up......
well had a crazy week away for 3 days then had a meeting in london today so back early which is nice !!! think the job thing will be sorted next week, going to take the new job which will mean even more travelling and time away but good prospects.
Not too bad this week, booze wise apart from saturday, just had 2 glasses of wine tuesday night, nothing on previous standards.
weigh in tonight, hope saturday didn't do too much harm.
am getting used to not drinking to excess anymore, because I used to feel I had to if that makes sense.... am going out with my friend saturday though, will try to keep it down a bit. Hope everyones had a good day, off to lie on the sofa for some rest !! xxMTC's NO MORE PIES MEMBER NO 202 !!!

Hi everyone, thanks for all your kind messages,to update - scan on Wednesday showed am definitely miscarrying but not going very well so have opted for medical management, been to hospital today for first stage - oral tablet - then I have to go in to hospital on Saturday for pessary (sorry tmi) to start contractions and expel the 'product' as they nicely refer to it!! I will be there all day, possibly overnigh
I am majorly depressed and have to confess to hitting the booze big time yesterday 9 cans of cider! can't drink for 4 days after the tablet I had today though so thats me till Sunday at the earliest!(just when i REALLY NEED a drink!)
Hope everyone is ok0 -
