Hugs, Shopaholic
Nearlythere, you owe me a keyboard as mine is covered in tea!
Day 3 for me, woohoo! Just discovered I have an extra £30 in my account, am so tempted to go out for dinner (with wine!) but won't. Have a lovely dinner planned and water is good for me. Am off work sick today anyway so doubt I can actually get out of my jammies.0 -

when i stopped smoking i used nicotine lozenges which were brought out by smith klein beecham as they were - they dont taste anywhere near as nasty as the gum, and i found the constant, chewing, sucking, quite soothing .... i had tried for many yeasr tp stop and only realised when i did (august 23rd 1999) - that if you have the RIGHT reason for stopping - ie - stopping for YOU - it will be easy !!! cravings do only last a very short time, but, i found i had virtually no cravings when using the lozenges.
best of luck to all on here - some powerfully inspiring stories -0 -
Howdy partners
Thanks to nearly-there and being one of the terrible trio :rotfl: that were sent up the narrow pass to salvation I would like to try again if you please. I quite like it in the sheriffs office so,if you dont mind, I will stay on the wrong side until Saturday morning. I am back to work then for 6 days and I think I need that headstart to get me going.
I will then endevour to cut down. I intend to not buy any for consumption at home and only have one when I am out.
As I do not go out very often this should cut it down considerably.
Must go as Bonanza is on
Yeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I've caught up with all the posts now, there's far too much to respond to individually as I gotta put dinner on. But thought I'd better come on and say hello for now.
Hugs Shopaholic, my thoughts are with you & your OH, you know where I am if you need someone
Well I fell off and have got back on again, I'm on day 2 after falling spectacularly off the wagon on Sunday, even though I told myself (and you lot) that I shouldn't as I was going on a course yesterday and needed to be clear headed. Remember, I'd just spent the previous 2 weeks indoors, waking up at 9(ish) everyday and lounging about, talk about a culture shock having to go back to work  - got bladdered Sunday night, woke up at 6.30am  on Monday morning and I felt like I'd been picked out of my bed during the night, run over numerous times then placed back in bed. I looked awful, felt sick, had headache, basically wanted to curl up back in bed and sleep. I sat through the most boring day ever on this course thinking all day about how awful it all was and that I wasn't gonna do it again  and I actually got home and had some positive thoughts and got through the night with not too many problems. Couldn't sleep though, at all. Woke up this morning and felt amazing even on no sleep
:D
So that's where I'm up to, day 2 and feeling ok....DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0
