  • I am here WB!

Every time I see a police car in the mornings my stomach does somersaults - not good!!!

It just takes some other car to pull out in front of you at a junction on a frosty morning and have an accident. The chances of getting breathalysed must be quite high in the winter.
:) Embrace your inner Hillbilly :)

I must admit I felt more in control of my car this morning and I've normally stopped drinking by 10.30pm the night before :o

Probably gonna get flamed now by those reading this thread but not 'getting it'

  • Eselt I just want to say how much I admire you for conquering your demon, I hadn't realised till I read your post how much you used to drink (I hope I am not offending you by saying that!) but it just goes to show how alcohol can affect the nicest of people and not just the 'dregs of society' - you are obviously a caring compassionate and intelligent person who just happened to have a problem with alcohol. I always take heart from your posts, you are a godsend on here!

(hope that didn't come across as patronising or too mushy, I just wanted to say thanks for all your help really:o )

    Well done BHB :D

Driving to work and felt great!

Got in to work and everyone said how much better I looked today (had the virus from hell for the last week)

This has got to be a good thing yeah?

    It's a very good thing

Just one day at a time Jo. Just say to yourself "I am not going to drink today"
Forget about next week, or Christmas, but just for today, don't pick up that first drink.
You are not stopping for life, just this 24 hr period

  • I really wouldn't bother Molly, I think a lot of them give incorrect readings so you might think you were ok when you weren't - also they said it would be inadmissable as an excuse in court! The best one was the one the police use which costs a mere £700 to £800 quid:eek:
