Good morning all!!
Well done all of you! Must admit last night I really fancied a drink but went and did the ironing instead!
Just to give you all a laugh to keep you going today......apparently yesterday my brother asked my Mum if I was pregnant as I hadn't had a drink at the family do on Saturday!! Just brought it home to me that the only time I HAVEN'T been drinking for many many years was the nine months I was pregnant. And to think I though people never noticed I drank a lot. Quite scary!
Have good AF days today. ((hugs)) to all those that need them.

Morning all,
I had a bad night too Jo but despite that feel so much better. And so, today will be harder cos yesterday I was too Tired (hungover) to really care about drinking. Bad start to day...TBH I feel like having a drink right now (!!!) cos the car skidded 3 times this morning, no gritters in sight, & just as was getting close to work got turned round by the police due to accident so had to go miles round back on the icy roads & was late for first time ever! Stressed!! Good luck AFD2-ers & everyone else. What happened to Shoppy?....0 -
Morning all and congrats to Jo, BHB and winebox on AFD 1 completed!! I managed it too so am feeling happy and un-hungovered today!
To continue from yesterdays breathalyser discussion - I watched breakfast TV this morning and they were testing some, the general consensus was that they cannot be relied upon to provide an accurate result (although some were good), they showed a poster advertising one type which stated that even 4 pints of beer on an evening can make you over the limit the day after!!! I wonder how much over the limit 2 bottles of wine make me thenI dread to think:eek: I have to say that has really hit home to me how dangerous my level of drinking has become, and I am also concerned about my OH as he has a long drive to work every day and if he drinks with me (which he does quite often) he will be in grave danger of losing his licence and that would mean losing his job (as it would for me if I lost mine!)
I am really going to try hard from now on not to drink when I have to drive the next morning - it is just not worth the risk!!!
Bis - great idea about the thread, I think there are a lot of people out there in the same boat as us!
Baileys - Far too sickly for me!
Good luck today everyone0 -
