  • Hello Folks, I haven't had a drink now for almost a month - Going away soon and a bit concerned with what to do - people have always known me to enjoy my wine etc - think I'll say I'm on tablets (which I am loads of them another reason I really should not drink). Take anti-d's and the max dose of painkillers every day (prescribed). I have a med condition. Ok well hope you are all good and sorry its turned into a rant. You know what I love? When I wake up in the morining & I'm not embarassed by something I did/said last night?
    goodnight

Well done, you should be very proud of yourself, and yes, tell people its cos of the tablets because that is at least half true anyway!! Keep it up, and well done again,

    Morning all

    I'm un-hung-over'ed!! :D

Was a little concerned that I might've had stomach cramps by now, but nothing has happened so I'm hoping I'm past that point (don't want to speak to soon!). So day 5, onwards and upwards :) Thanks to everyone for your support, on the board and on PM it really is appreciated and keeps me in line too if I'm honest :D

M, welcome to the thread and congratulations on your monthiversary, I know what you mean about not tracking the days too closely, I've done that in the past. Didn't want to put too much onus on the quit incase I b00gered up! This time though, I've decided I need to notch the days on the bedstead so that I know exactly what I'm b00gering up if that day arrives. Good luck for your trip, just take each day as it arrives and try not to think about the day before it happens.....easy for me to say I know, but it honestly is easier to deal with in small chunks. Keep us up dated :)

    Thanks Bis :)

Thanks YM.......ah, there you are ;)

I've just realised whilst posting this message and thinking about days and dates, when I quit for 4 months in 2006, I stopped on 24th July which is the same date as this year....freaky huh  it wasn't intentional.

Right, I'm off to work now, last bit of overtime I've got to do for a while I think, then I can get the next 5 weeks off and overhaul my house!

Have a lovely sunny day :)

    xx

Havn't been here for a while but I think I need to return full time.

I am planning to return with a cut down in consumption on Thurday 31st. Back to work that day so should make it easier.

Dont know if you are aware but I had a bit of a public tiff on here with a regular poster that got out of hand big style. I realise that a lot of that was the fact that I had drunk about 8 pints of Stella. To say I was ashamed would not go close and I have been lurking more than posting of late and it made me sit up and take notice. I also had a big argument with OH the same night that nearly resulted in the end of our relationship. The thought of not putting my DD's to bed every night is too much to bear.

Time to return me thinks. See you Thursday :D

Winebox - hope the foot is improving?

I have been pretty bad this weekend, Friday 1/2 bottle wine with dinner, Saturday pint of cider with lunch and then god only knows how many glasses of wine through dinner and after at the pub - i lost count :o yesterday I had three glasses of wine as a hairy dog

YM, look forward to seeing you Thursday :) I have no idea about the tiff either, I've been quite self-absorbed recently (apologies about that :o ), you will never have tiffs on here cos we are all too nice :D

Shoppy, good luck for today :D
