back again...working busy hours at th moment so going to bed early.....will try and catch up later...
had nightmares about starting drinking again last night...weird....For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
Shoppy and winebox don't feel guilty, it's only a lapse not a big problem in the scheme of things. One of the main things I've discovered is to learn what you can from it, forget it and move on. Feeling guilty only makes you feel bad and more inclined to drink!
Mollypolly, what a kind response from you last night by the way.
Have a good rest of the day everyone.£2 savers club no.107 :j £36 so far.0 -

Intriguing; how long have you been AF now Bis? And what happens in the dream? - is it how you used to drink? are you with people / alone / bingeing / rushing to the shop for some / hating yourself / enjoying it? (no-one expects the Spanish Inquisition....) etc?
I'll be back in later tonight going to sign off for a while just now0 -
kind of waiting for some people to arrive at a fair/festival type thing and drinking real ale....weak mind you...nothing fancy or scary in itself.
AF days?...over 400 I suppose.....For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
Just popped back in but nobody about?
Bis when you had this dream did you wake up wanting a drink, or in a panic that you'd had one? Sometimes after I stopped smoking, although I couldn't remember the actual dream I used to wake up feeling really fed up cos I thought I'd given in & had a fag, & eventually would realise I hadn't & then felt great! It was weird tho, dreams can be very powerful.
Soon you'll be dreaming about Fox's chocolate cream biscuits, erm, not that they're my fave or anything.
Shoppy & Jo how are you tonight? earlier it was going to be an alch free night for you both?
I am being absolute & complete carp this week after such a good start last week, tonight I have to blame DD's primary school for plying me with wine after the play.....rather farcically the children weren't allowed in the same (class)room as the "grown-ups" & the wine!! The play did go on a bit mind.0 -
Morning all,
Feeling quite good this morning, only drank 2, stuck to the plan.
I was meant to go to the physco on Wed but didn't go cos I just couldn't face it(defeats the object somwhat...) so made an excuse, but yesterday had to go see the counsellor who has just returned from 2 weeks holiday. He had put me on this reduction thing and expected me to be abstainate by the time I saw him, which obviously I wasn't. He was nice but very firm and said that he had planned to discharge me in 3 weeks whether I had dealt with the alcohol issue or not as there is no point in coming to see him forever and not making it work. I've still got to see the physco for another 10 weeks to deal with relapse and emotional issues. He said he likes boundaries which made complete sense and gave me a sense of purpose. I agreed that when I went to that place a couple of years ago, I went there for 8 months and my drinking just got worse and there was no definate plans of helping me stop. So this time he said the reduction must work otherwise I will end up going round in circles for the rest of my life, which is very true considering I've been battling with this for 15 years.
So, I bought 2 cans last night, it wasn't easy I must admit, nearly caved in and went to the shop. But I managed it and feel better for it this morning. Please send me '2 cans only' vibes for the next 6 daysDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Morning all.
Well done Jo for sticking to plan.Keep it up.:T
Had a phone call from my sister yesterday to say that her best friend (who is an alcoholic air hostess( and one of the most beautiful people in the world)has taken herself into £5000 Rehab)
She has lived the high life for a very long time(due to her job I think) and has been in and out of Rehab for about 10 years until the doctots have said No More. Its wastin time/.money.
Hopefully this will work this time as she has at last admitted she has a problem.
My sister was very upset and says that she feels that the next funeral she has to attend will be for her best friend ( who is only 42)
I hope this works for her this time.
Alcohol certainly has a lot to answer for.
Sorry.Just felt the need to put that down.
Am going to cheer myself up now by going shopping with DD2 (who told me yesterday she is thinking of splitting from her boyfriend)
Oh God.....I need a drink:rolleyes:
What a ramble.See you later
Love Mollypollyxxxx:happylove :happylove

Winebox - glad you had a good evening, are you starting again with AFD's after the weekend? I am having a drink tomorrow as we are going to the caribbean carnival in the local park (weather permitting)
Molly - have a good day shopping, hope your DD is ok and hope your sister's friend gets sorted!
Bismarck - over 400 days  good for you - please send me some willpower:rolleyes:
Jo - 'Only two can' vibes are on their way!! How do you feel about the counsellor discharging you? seems a bit unfair to me, especially since you seemed to be getting to the bottom of things!
AFD for me yesterday - I was so ill could not have faced any!! (had a load of sugar -free tunes and gave myself a really bad stomach!!) I am staying AF today too but will be having some tomorrow as we are going to the local park for the carribean carnival (weather permitting) so will be hitting the beer tent!!0 -

Hi Shoppy,
Nah, the counsellor was only meant to be for 6 weeks anyway for my reduction detox and he referred me to the physco woman so that I could continue the counselling after he's finished with me! He's very nice about it all and tough love is what I need at the moment, not the molly coddling (sp?) I've had previously, it's all to easy to ignore what I've got to do if I'm not worried about letting anyone down. This guy is great and I want to prove to him (and myself) that I can do it.
Have fun at the carnival tomorrow, you lucky thing! Hope the weather is good. I've got a work do at the end of term on Wed 23rd July which I'm debating not going to cos I'll only be on 1 can by then and I doubt my self control too much :rolleyes:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Too right!! I'm not even going to say hopefully, it's got to happen. Can't even say I've learned a lesson this week cos I have no idea what has triggered me off. Well, one lesson learned re red wine/pale carpets - the stain has now morphed from dark pink to a sort of grey.......more work needed. And if one more person tells me to throw white wine on top of it..........
Jo very well done sticking to 2; am surprised you didn't go to the psycho on Wed I thought that was going well?? Will the counsellor discharge you do you think? - or is he trying to jolt you into "trying harder" (hope you know I personally don't mean that, but couldn't think of better wording).
Molly it's very early to "need a drink" - you must mean coffee! Have a good shop, it can be very therapeutic (except in Sainsburys).
Have a good day one & all.0
