:o I am at work, sitting at my desk feeling very very sorry for myself!! I have the hangover from hell and so annoyed with myself for drinking

I wasted a tenner, ate loads of rubbish and now I feel like cr*p what is the point of it:confused:

I was supposed to be quitting completely and now seems I am only cutting down, still I spose it is still an achievement, however minor

Thanks for your support everyone (Molly I was very drunk - god knows how I managed to type so well!!)

Oh dear Shoppy you & me both. Didn't even give it a thought for most of the day then there I was almost on auto pilot opening a bottle, and then another. The only good thing was that the guilt made me very busy during first bottle & I got on with several jobs put off for ages (cleaning out fish tank etc etc!!)
But boy did I get my come-uppance for my sins.
Firstly, DD is in school play last night & tonight - I arranged with neighbours that we would go on different nights so they could take DD last night & I will take their DS tonight. But they rang as she (neighbour) did not feel well & wanted to swop nights, & I had to say no cos I had had too much wine to drive......great having to confess that at 5.30pm.
And this morning!!!!   I have a bad habit of taking myself straight off to bed leaving behind unfinished glass of wine. During the night the dog had jumped up on the sofa, knocking glass off table in the process. So brand new, pale beige carpet, my pride & joy cos I had put up with super-grot one for ages, now has large stain right where it can't be hidden. And the worst thing? unusually for me....red wine. I have scrubbed & scrubbed at it & can't get rid, any hints anyone?
Serves me right, I feel. Talk about constant reminder staring me in the face. boo hoo:mad:

I'm feeling both sober & ugly this morning!

  • winebox - I feel better knowing I am not the only one who was bad!! Have you tried vanish on the wine stain, it works on most things, I spilled a glass of rose on my cream carpet last night so will be trying it on that tonight!!

I feel so ill today and I have the worst case of the runs ever (sorry tmi!) I keep having to run to the loo which is really not good at work :o I can't wait for five oclock and a sober evening!!

Hi Shoppy, what are we like??!! I haven't knocked over a glass in years so feel double-hard-done-by that it was the bloody dog. Did he get his goodbye biscuit when I left this morning? - NO HE DID NOT!!
I tried 2001 on the carpet (prob the year I bought it) but I know OH has Vanish so will borrow that on my way home.
Sorry you're not well today - yes def tmi! ;) - I feel OK except my contact lenses feel as if they're in back to front & they're about to pop off my eyes.
I have to stay sober tonight to go to the play, & face the neighbours :o
