I just did the demotivator for my drink spends...
I spend £1,300.00 a year on alcohol! :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Jo, me too although my Dh does help me out with that. Great tool the demotivatior, if a little scary at times. Had a disasterous weekend alcohol wise , away with friend over the weekend and then yesterday was my birthday.... I feel really drained now - just wondering wether to have a nap whilst the baby sleeps - that can't be right, surely.
Well done to everyone on their progress and having set goals.Saving to pay the tax man0 -
ps - shopaholic - if you're trying to conceive I've found taking my folic acid with a fizzy vit c water (u can but tablets from boots) after i've had my tea takes the edge off wanting a glass of wine.
I usually take mine first thing in the morning, but I will certainly give your idea a try! cheers:beer:0 -
How much do you call a lot?
I only drink at weekends and thats usually a glass or two at night of red wine.
I had a blood test last week as i have been continuously getting fluey illnesses since before christmas so the doctor reccomended a blood test.
Everything came back clear and very healthy bar the liver test. He said that my liver has some damage to it but this could be due to me not being well of late. He didnt question about how much i drink but this has really got me paranoid. I dont think I drink a lot and i dont touch it during the week.
I don't think you need to worry if it is so little, I am sure that the govt recommends a small glass of red wine a night to keep your heart healthy (correct me if I have this wrong someone:D )0 -
Day one for me
Trying to get through till Friday without a drink (sounds awful when I type it). Unfortunately I took the kids to France last w/e and returned with a bootful of booze (thanks a bunch, Martin!)
Ah well - we'll see how it goes.
Well done to everyone else.......
I am with you Lurkio, (it doesn't sound so bad to me - that's probably a bad sign:D)0 -

Hi everyone
You all seem to be doing well, I know how hard it is to stop drinking once you've started.
I am doing well, now over a month since any booze or fags have passed my lips, and it seems like I have got out of the habit of drinking and it doesn't seem as important as it used to be. However, I did think that the weight would drop off me when I stopped and it hasn't in fact its gone up, but I think I have traded one addiction for another so now I am addicted to chocolate, something I never really bothered with before, think it might be something to do with sugar.
Any ideas
Keep up the good work.
