Hold on a minute YM, Betty Boo??? You didn't sound like a betty boo 'doin the do' kinda man to me!

BHB, I love the B52's. Rock Lobster's my fav, very very loud! Congrats for getting through the day yesterday, glad you had a good time.

CP, god what a nightmare! I think we can all safely say we'd join you in drinking a bottle (or two) if we were there! Thank the lord he is safe :)

Molly, I hope the weather is a bit better there today.

Sea, congrats on great control :) I bet you feel really pleased with yourself!

ISOM, hope the shoulder feels better today :)

SM, I hope this week improves for you, good luck for today :)

    Hello everyone else

Well, I suppose it's back to day 1 for me. I got invited to the new next door neighbours BBQ last night, they've only lived there for a few weeks but were having a party to celebrate moving in. I just pulled up outside and they asked me to pop in later (probably thought if I was at the party I wouldn't moan about the noise :rotfl:), anyway, I don't go to many BBQ's and didn't realise the temptation of chicken drumsticks, ribs, corn on the cob and a couple of cold Becks  I did only have a couple and was still completely sober when I got in but as my goal is complete abstinence I think I've boogered it up :( One good thing, I didn't have to pay for the beers so I've still not spent £52 :D But BHB I take my hat off to you for going without :)

Onwards and upwards I s'pose

Ooops ..... Thats better. Its actually more than that - but I am using £2 per day. ..... based on 3 cans of Mr T's Stella Equivalant ....and the fact that I can multiply by 2 but not £2.43 :D:p

    Hi everyone.
Just popping back in to say I am still reading the book (very slowly though I have to confess:o )
I have had lots of social things going on this week so have not cut down at all. Hope its still ok to post maybe I need to wait until I am actually doing something about this now before I update:confused: but I do find reading the thread is giving me a bit of a push to do something. When I first posted on here I had the mother of all hangovers after a very big boozy night with a friend so it seemed to be worse I guess. I think I may have lost motivation to do something about it again now so its important to keep reading about all of your successes.

Jo I think you have been doing so well so rather than think about the 2 beers you have had think about all the drinks you have chosen not to have over the past few weeks.

Hope you all have a good bank holiday
