I don't think he'll make a big deal of it, cos I'm not either. I didn't even tell him I'd given up cos I want to stay relaxed about it rather than last time I gave up it was always brought up in conversation. It's a touchy subject with him anyway as his mum died through alcohol. I have my fav Thai chicken and basil for dinner tonight, so excited!!

Drooool. Have just eaten my lunch am starving!

Day number 11 for me! This is the longest I've gone without a drink for 13 years!

Feel ok - recovered from my intial withdrawal symptoms but seem to be hit by a virus/flu now. I blame it on the lack of red wine and all it's anti-oxidants it supplies.
  • Yo-ho !! Day 6
I snuck home this lunchtime..................for a bit of peace and quiet. Too much twittering goes on in our office sometimes and I need to write two reports by 3pm, so home beckoned and here I am , sat sitting.................not doing my reports !! :o

I'm still reading that book and gonna get serious with you guys at some point !! (why do I feel that the sentence would read better if I finished it with .......................'gonna get serious on you guys at gun point'..................kinda slips off the tongue better )

But you all seem to be sounding a tad stressed, so gonna make you smile instead (hopefully).

Have you ever considered a move into this type of industry (!!!!!! MOVIES) ? Coz if you ever did, then you would need a name to bely your talents (IE PORNSTAR NAME) To produce your fore-amentioned name you need to think of the name of your first pet (mine was a cat called Marmalade) and add to it your mother's maiden name (my mum was a Cox).
My pornstar name would be Marmalade Cox :D - not bad eh ??
I've asked various family members and friends for their name and the best of the bunch are as follows: Twinkle Scattergood (sisters bf), Charlie Cox (sis), Snowy Cox (bruv), Joey Probett (bf) !!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope this helps you to while away the time Jo, winebox and bhb..............have a good day. BHB thanks for the feedback on acupuncture - very helpful - do you get free set of earrings with each piercing? :rotfl:

Hope the sun is shining where you are - feels like summer here - North Wales.

    Mitzy Smith...erm...:rotfl:

Well not had a bad day, took the kids up to the London Aquarium (not a very DFW day out :o but I figured I've saved over £40 not drinking :D). DS was very impressed by the sharks. I am absolutely exhausted and and desperate for a cold can of Stella, I mean desperate. I haven't stopped thinking about it since about 2pm

I bought some non-alch Becks in Tesco cos they're better than the Stella ones and I've had one warm one quick when I got in (downed it in one :o ) and now have one chilling in the freezer. If I wasn't on day 11 today and was in the first 5 days or summat I would definately of caved. I also bought some Soleros in Tesco for good measure

    How's everyone else?

    How are you winebox?

    How are you Leigh?

Congrats Dave, you're on the same day as me :)

Congrats NT, aren't we amazing :D

    AB, how's it going?

jo ...this may not help and i dont mean to upset you ...but one thing i found was when i tried before but kept drinking alcohol free becks thinking it was giving me the taste so i would be ok ...i actually found that the taste of the becks was making me crave more ...this time i have just decided not to have any alcohol tasting things (including the alcohol free wine i have)

Hi Elantan, I do agree with you and normally this is the case for me too but tonight I needed a really cold fizzy not sweet tasting drink iykwim. I'm feeling fine now, cravings have passed and I'm looking forward to my Solero and hot choc later :D

    How are you doing?

    xx
