this in response to AB preferring taste orange juice (forgot to quote it in my post which then made NO sense) nah, I def love the taste of wine the effect is a "bonus", til next day. the longer I've been without the better it tastes to come back to & then any thought of moderation is out the window.0

Am dipping out again now til tomorrow, tomorrow (isn't it ALWAYS manana) is my day to start - liver crying mayday mayday. Always want a "signif" day to start so, so far in 2008 have done New Year, 1st Monday of year etc, 1st feb, 1st day lent, st valentines, chinese new yr (now not sure of order) 1st march, mothers day, easter, 1st april, various 1st day-back-at-school........the St Georges Day (er, no feedback pls) effort came to nowt soooooo mayday it is. Have had issues with OH (& turned to my very supportive friend chardonnay.).....but no point in blaming OH for my habit, too easy to do.
Thank you ALL you are so supportive & I'm being feeble but the more i join in on here the stronger i feel, i will do it, manana....
I was going to say I'll be too embarrassed to come back otherwise but that's where you are all so great, supportive but never critical.
Aaaaand, am going to spend my TAX CREDITS (mindful of forum - thought should throw in mention of Officially Poor Person) on....health club. nxt week. Honest. Bye til manana. xx0 -
Good luck winebox, we'll all be here for you
Had a tough evening, it was similar to day 1 on the craving front, dunno why cos I had quite a normal day with no more stresses than usual. Felt quite down earlier on but perked up a bit now. I once again found myself trying to justify buying some beer on the way home. Even once home was trying to think of an excuse to go out and get some. It's like I've got a devil sitting on my shoulder saying it'll be okay if I just drink today to 'celebrate' my last 9 days cos I don't have to drink again tomorrow. But the reality is, if I drink tonight then tomorrow I'll think **** it, I'm back to day 1 again today I might as well have another drinking day and start again tomorrow. This is what happened last time and a year and a half later I'm still saying tomorrow! So I've not bought drink and am now 10 days sober, but I realise I must not EVER become complacent cos it'll be so easy to slip back into my old ways.
10 days sober and saved £40
I hope you're all well?
