Hi brogusblue,
There was a recent thread discussing the crock pot saute slow cooker that might help:
what do you all think of this slow cooker ??
I have a Morphy Richards slow cooker and I'm very pleased with it. MR have a great after sales service and a two year guarantee which is one of the things that swayed me when buying mine.
There's another recent thread discussing all makes and models of slow cooker that might help you to decide:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep all the replies together.

thankyou0 -
I think it would be just perfect - but wouldn't give you any left overs0

It'd be big enough for meals but there wouldn't be an awful lot left over if you were wanting to make extra to freeze. How does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?0

Hi
We are 2 adults and a 13yr old DD. I actually have 2 SC's, one is a 3.5ltr and the other is a 6.5ltr. TBH, I use the 6.5ltr more as I can make extra portions, but if Im just doing a normal sized meal and dont have enough to make extra, then I use the 3.5ltr one.
You can also SC a large joint of meat or chicken in the bigger one too.
Hope that makes sense:rotfl:

We recently bought a 3.5lt from Wilkinsons for £12.99 and are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenage children. I cooked our first meal the other night and frankly there was plenty for everyone so i would say yes a 3.5 is more than adequate.
Oh and we are all big eatersA male chef of 4. My restaurant is always full and i don't need to tout for business.
OK OK I'm a house husband but it did sound better my way :beer:0 -
We are 3 adults, and if I fill the 3.5ltr almost to the top with a stew, we get 3 good sized meals, plus two smaller ones that will do for lunch the following day:D0
