It's ok, a friend has one. She's on about buying a Morphy Richards one like mine instead as she prefers it. Try on freecycle first before buying one, been loads advertised on my local one lately. One day I might be more organised...........

cheers lil_me, i liked the idea of being able to brown stuff off on the hob with it 1st so to cut down on washing up !, does your friend not get on with it? what is it about yours that she prefers ?Going it alone and feeling the pinch

I got one a couple of months ago. I've never had any other to compare it to but think its great. Like you I fancied the idea of using less pots and having less washing up to do. I would recommend it as even if you don't use it to slow cook a lot, you can still get a lot of use out of it by using on your hobs.0

Oh forgot to say, it has three settings, low, high and warm.0

ooh 3 settings?? the blurb on argos says it only has 2, thats what was putting me off a little bit !
i`ve been waiting to buy one for agaes but couldnt justify the money, but i got enough money for birthday/xmas from my dad to get one, just want to make the right choice, i know it sounds daft but things like this are a big deal to me because money is always so tight !:oGoing it alone and feeling the pinch

I think they mean that it has two cooking settings, low and high. The third setting is to keep the already cooked food at a temperature warm enough to eat.0 -
She just doesn't like the look of it :rotfl: some people are very fussy. I prefer the fact with it that you can start it on the hob but she never uses hers that wayOne day I might be more organised...........

but what i liked about this 1 is that it can be used on hob/oven microwave, as well as in slow cook mode, like d the idea of having one pot for multitude of sins lol.. i did look at the one that is a rice cooker and steamer too, but we rarely have rice and i have a steamer already.
So what one do you have?Going it alone and feeling the pinch
