Tax credits for the year are £36 a week down from £70 pretty much as expected. I am expecting next year to be only on the basic level the way my wages have been going. Means I dont get all my payrise but ultimately its better to have worked my way up to a good level of pay and not rely on the government so much.
New budget is a bit half done. Im just not good at the various spends and personel budgets.
Income
Wages £1320 - should go up a bit when they correct my tax code
Tax credit £144 (156 over 4.333 weeks)
Child Benefit £174
OH £100 - Can be variable but hes usually very good. I just end up paying most back the other way:rotfl: .
Total £1738
Regular stable monthly outgoings
Rent £426
C Tax £126 (10 months so have a couple of free months after xmas)
TV Licence £12
SKY £55 - recently getting deals for money off when asking to cancel movies will keep this up until I have to cancel movies and variety packages.
Loan £224
Gas Elec £50 -susspect this will need increasing after the summer
Water £28
Phone £30 - regularly c£25 includes broadbacnd. Deal expire end August will be looking to move
Groceries £250 - not doing to bad with this. It is achevable anything more is an overspend
Charity £5 - will be the first dds cancelled if things go pear shaped
American Life Cancer Insurance for me £6
Catalogue £40
Diesel - £50 - guestimate may be higher with OH use
Home Ins £14
Total £1321
Surplus £417 to cover luxuries for Me Kids and OH, brownies, guides, school trips, Birthdays, Hair, clothes, shoes. There should be no car repairs/costs for the remaining year so will factor those in the 2009 budget. Holiday savings £500 have been eaten into so need to recoup those ASAP.
Too much has gone on CC this/last month so will pay off one and close and use the Tesco for emergencies only. Fed up with points nwd to spend cash (well debit card) these days. The money comes striaght out so balance will be up to date.:j0 -
Its scary isnt it when you work it all out (probably why I rarely do lol!!). Great that oh given up smoking...give him a hug from me... havent smoked for month but still getting the lozenges on prescription which are thankfully free in wales...Its a mare though & I learned what Climbing the walls meant when I gave up....
Well done on trying to be positive...its tough going at times but we will get there. Hang in me lovely! Re hamsters mine is on a shelf & while the cats eye him up with the odd lick of the lips theyve not tried to get to him yet. Am a little woried about him as while cleaning him noticed that he has some disharge so must look it up...my need a vet visit as not convinced his bits should be THAT big and with the discharge worries it may be more that just big gonads! I guess what I'm saying is think long & hard (not impulsively like me lol!!) before getting one as its not just the set up costs..trip to vet alone with be £25 - more than he cost in the first place!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Aww I hope hes ok ISOM. I really need to get the cat to a check up. Shes 13 and hasnt been since her accident 7 years ago. She keeps sneezing. Im hoping its nothing but as she is older now I am more concerned.
OH is doing really well I am proud of him. Trying to bite my tongue when he snaps a bit though.
Darn forgot to add well done for not smoking a whole month. That cant of been easy they say it gets easier the longer you go on.:j0 -
Have lost count of how long I haent smoked for but think its about 3 months now but still need the lozenges...
Good that you are managing to bite your tongue with OH...I know its hard but at least he is making the effort which will work well in the long run...Have a good day tomorrow. Is that the weeks hol finished?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Yes week up but as I worked Wed I am thinking of not working today. Cant decide.
Went to car boot yesterday and spent about £10 - £6 on DD2 birthday presents. She is very happy with a 3 wheel buggy, carry cot. two dolls and covers for £4.
Didnt do a car boot too tired for some reason. Still havent tidied/decluttered the house or gone through the freecycle car boot stuff yet.
Feeling a bit iffy today hope it doesnt last.:j0 -
Hi Wendy
hope you're not coming down with anything. You're so good at keeping on track whatever gets thrown at you, you keep on going.
Keep well

Great that you saw a film & had a couple of hours off, not thinking just chilling! Thanks ISOM
Went back to bed at 4am and have had a fairly productive day.
W**k
including an unexpected work call whilst in playground waiting for DD2 meeting at 5.40 - pain in the bum using a work phone as private as well. My personel usage is minimal though so no point in a personal phone. My old one locked itself through lack of use!
DD2 school parents meeting - shes doing ok a few too many tears to get her own way same as home. Not working on us or teacher though!
DD1 Guides parents show - Very lovely performance especially DD. Won a couple on bits in the raffle so two new teddy bears for DS and some wrting stuff for DDs.
Head now hurts as overtired so will read on here for a bit then head upstairs.:j0 -
Big hugz Wendy
Don't know about it being too hot at night. I've still been taking my hot water bottle to bed, but I am a softee.
Keep well hun and like ISOM says make sure you take some time to chill out.
It does us good a bit of 'me time'.
