Sounds like a plan but just spent £34 on pool chemicals, blooming pool gone cloudy. Wasnt planning to spend anything on the pool this year but ran out of ph increaser (darned hard water) and now need florosthingamejigs. Should see me through the reat of the year and probably well into next. I hope nothing else crops up as I have nowt left for the month and I dont want to be building up the credit cards again.
Right from now on ISOM how about declaring planned spends on here before buying and waithing 24 houirs to see if they are reaaly needed?
Party went really well the weather was great so the kids spent most of the time splashing around and jumping in the pool. I finally got a chance to rest at 4 ish when DD1 dropped off at her sleep over and then I promptly fell aslepp on the sofa for 45 mins!. Been taking it easy this evening just the odd bit of tidying no major rush. W**k Monday so need tomorrow to be a bit more relaxing.
One down side to the day DD2 whos 8 today has a bad tooth playing up she was in tears for ages Ive never seen her so bad I even rang the dentist. Sounds like the tooth (baby thankfully) is dying. I ve no idea have it got from fine this time last year to being that badNurofen didnt work so had to use calpol as well. Never had to do that with the kids before. She was fine after an hour thankfully back in the pool.

morning...I'm up for declared spends...after car boot that I'm going to this am!! Am looking into the sewing machine & taking a step back....may see if I can do it by hand as I prefer the fact that its hand sewn and just get a cheapie for the bindings etc...the proper quilting ones cost 500+ and no way I'm spending that - even if I wasnt dfw I wouldnt!
re the tooth oil of cloves is great at easing tooth ache...re the pool is it s proper pool or paddly one? just confused as to why you need treatment for it? pm if youd rather not say publically! Try & have some chill time today...it worries me that you describe yourself as lazy as you are so not lazy!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Good morning Wendy, hope you have a relaxing day today and enjoy the sunshine. x0

Its a 12ft splasher pool http://www.poolwarehouseuk.com/products.asp?recnumber=433 brought at the height of a heatwave two years ago pre LBM although the idea was along with the trampoline to let the kids have loads of free stuff to keep them occupied in the hols when Im at work. this did work but now we are a mecca for neighbourhood kids even though there are lots of trampolines and pools about lol!
The pool takes 6hrs to fill and days to empty (Im also on a water meter) so need chemicals to keep it from going green and murky. Also got a heater that costs c £80 which OH wont set up and isnt much cop to be honest thinking of cleaning it up and getting about £20-30 on ebay.
Annoyed at myself for not switching to scottish power through quidco - £70 and reasonable capped rate. Need to change according to Martin and quidco deals drying up.
Other than that no plans except rest and a bit of tidying at a slow pace today. DD2 sleepover pal just got picked up earlier than I thought I wasnt even dressed :eek;. DD1 to pick up at 12 she sent a text last night saying she missed us aaah she can be so sweet at times. She acts so mature and indepentant I forget she is only 10.
Just remember I overheard DD1 saying to DD2 yesterday "that when your ten you know nillions of stuff". Made me laugh, I then pointed out to her that Im three times that so maybe I do know more than her. Kindda works but apparently daddy is still smarter than mummy cause hes older!:j0 -

Thanks - no planned spends today going to avoid all shops including online.
Good idea about taking a step back from the sewing machine and trying by hand first. £500 . Hope you find some bargains at the car boot. Im going to avoid today spent far too much in the last week. Really must to one next week so can I have some reminders in the week please to start preparing?
Thanks for the clove of garlic tip I think OH has used that in the past Ill have a route or add to shopping list. So far rno more pain I dont think all the excitment of her big day helped. They only stayed up to about 10 and although vowed to stay awake I never heard a peep.
I do feel lazy at times when some weekends I do nowt but stay most they day watchingTV/snoozing in bed. I have friends who work full time and have a working partner and their houses are much tidier and they seem to have loads of energy. I know I shouldnt compare and experience tells me to stick to my limits but I do have a perfectionist streak in me - I guess its the Virgo in me although I must be the scattiest Virgo going!:j0
