Hi Wendy all good news that's great. Well done on the practically no spend day today. I can't remember when I last had one of those. You sound much more optimistic.:D

OH fine thanks got a referal letter today he needs to ring to get an appointment. Hope they can do something to help. He happy at the mo becasue hes seeing Iron Maiden on Sat at Twickenham. Also friend is planning a round of golf the following week so not cheap but gives him something other than the four walls to look forward too. Oh and of course my week off should help. Just need to curb my urges to spend at the moment.

No spend days are pracitcally unheard of here Dizzy I am fairly happy with minimal spends. Do feel good at the moment so will enjoy it while it lasts and hope it doesnt go too soon.

You seem to be doing really well at the moment and it's good news that OH has been referred to the pain clinic. Let's hope that they can do something to ease the pain for him.

quiet day ended up doing the weekly shop which came to £56 after a £6 shopping voucher so as long as we didnt forget anything too major should still be on budget for GC. Had to fill up with diesel so another £63 down. I would say that this is expences but these days with OH driving the car it works out I get about 50% back. Will be working on training him to fill up Zafira as well as Cavalier if using both! Makes sence though to use diesel Zafi as should be cheaper per mile than the petrol cavalier.

DD talked her way into a sleepover tomorrow and OH off most the day to twickenham. Nothing planned will play it by ear. Maybe a bit of housework and baking.

No movement on the bank account today. I hate waiting for all the bills to go out so I know where I am.

OOOPS just realised I still havent paid for hols or done Tax credits yet. Back in a bit.

Hi Wendy...well done for being on target for the GC.
I should join you and GR in putting up my daily chores. I think I need something like this to get me motivated. I think I'll pop over to my diary and do a bit of a list. Glad everything is going well Wendy for you.

• Fallen off the bandwagon a bit spent £5 at Tesco on dinner when I only needed some lemons and a small pot of yoghurt £1 tops (cake for guides thing tomorrow just finishing the lemon cake and hobnobs now. Also agreed to get my hair done will be a bargain for highlights and cut but dont really need anything but a trim. OH has my card for spend money and I nearly filled his car up with petrol just so he didnt worry about that for a while. Totally non neccessary spend that I did avoid. Yesterdays weekly shop was full of treats and my freezer was practically full so why did I buy more dinner stuff?

Its only small amounts but they are adding up. It doesnt help that my FIL is likely to have the cancer return and probably going to be untreatable. Why does nearly everyman in my life I care about die? Feeling very sorry for myself. Fed up with the sh**e life throws at people. Barely got over my sisters illness.

Sorry for whinge will head to bed in a min think Im over tired.

So sorry Wendy to hear about your FIL. You're bound to be feeling down. Hugs to you.
Just sounds like me and my shopping that Wendy, just buying for the sake of it and knowing that you don't even need it. Maybe we do it as a bit of rebellion
Be strong and just have the hair trim if that's all you need and think about the money you'll save.
Have a good sleep and a better day tomorrow.

Hi Wendy, am so sorry to hear about your FIL's illness and hope that the news he gets is better than expected and that it is treatable. Your right life is really !!!!py on times isn't it yet there's nothing we can do but ride those waves.

As for the spending maybe that was also affected by your mood, I know I most definitely spend more money when I'm feeling down and I do it to cheer myself up. It doesn;t necessarily have to be spends on clothes it can be spending it on anything at all. Keep your chin p hun and keep thinking positive.
• Yesterday spent £5.75 on town hobby horse fair which was fun. Lemon cake seems to have sold as none left when I came back to pick DD1 up. Need to keep up diary I forget what I spend so easily, Oh and £70 for all 5 hair cuts which included highlights. Looks good a bit blonder than I was expecting but I will get used to it. Couldnt really back out as its a neighbour who I think was counting on the money. Her father is also terminally ill and is neaing the end.

Today I have actually managed to spend nothing by not leaving the house. Should have gone into work so will trythat tomorrow or Wednesday. Today I lounged around. Baked the remaining hobnob mix, stuffed my face thoughout the day and slowly did the six month filing back log. So one big job out of the way.

This weeks todo list is to:

Bake lemon cake if yoghurt not gone bad.
Bake French loaf in BM
Do one days work
Book kids and my dentist appointments
Tidy, clean and declutter some if not all the rooms ready for a big clearout Car boot on Sunday.
Keep as low spend as possible because bank balance and cc bill looks far too low/high.
Keep up with DDs various guides/brownie/school engagments
Exercise more maybe go for walks with OH
Spend time with OH
Keep positive and not dwell on the bad stuff I cant do anything about.

Better log off OH will wonder what Im up to.
