Why are drugs illigal if i want to spend my money on drugs I should be able to this works with many many other things also.

It comes down to the safty of others just cos you paid for it dont mean it should be legal.

As for the bus comment yeah of course you would not want to get hit by a bus difference is they are serving a perpouse they carry way more passangers so there are less cars and they are involved in less accidents per person traveling, they also tend to be going much slower ect ect.

All the excuses made are just people trying to justify why its ok to use a 4x4 and unless you have a use for it there is no reason for it other than it makes them feel safe, big and important.

I love my 4x4, I would just use it in the country but have to drive into town with it as dont have another car and cant get the bus into work

Okay Im saying me I dont drive me fella does.


at 40pmh about 85% of pedestrians are killed so I would be more worried about a car that is speeding around than one being driven carefully (no matter the make of car)

Don't you all see? The government driven hatred for the 4x4/SUV is a way of splitting the motorists power! A good example is the new £300(soon to be £400) vehicle excise duty tax bracket for "high pollution" vehicles. The motorist with the smaller car thinks "serves them right" , not noticing his own tax has gone up. Its the same tactics Hitler used- divide and conquer. If the motorists are divided amongst themselves they will not be able to unite to fight.
4x4s make better towing vehicles, and handle speed bumps/traffic calming/ motorist frustrating schemes councils continually throw at the motorist better. The increased ride height makes entry and exit easier-especially important for the elderly and infirm. Also, with some (not all)of them having higher fuel consumption means the government rakes in more tax anyway through the sale of petrol/diesel, saving us all money n the long run
