Mothers Day Flowers £5 delivered!!!
Comments

I've just checked my statement on the website, and it says the full payment amount was received (£23.50) from my bank, then underneath, it says 'promotional discount' of 18.50 with CR next to it - so I think they've only charged me £5 overall, but am getting worried by all the above posts saying the discount won't be honoured. Am tempted to make an enquiry, but don't think I want to draw any extra attention to my account.
Edit: Have just checked account, they've taken the £23 but no sign of the discount being credited. Arggh! Advice please, as I don't think I can cancel the order, or is this possible?0 -
Hi all
I checked my bank account this morning and noticed that I have been charged the full £23.50 from Additions for the flowers! I used the code and received the email confirmation saying it had been accepted and my card would be debited for £5, needless to say I am not happy about the £23.50 being taken!
Anyone else had this problem?
I've emailed additions and am awaiting their reply!

I have today checked my bank statement and have been charged the full amount, despite having a confirmation email saying £4.00. I have called them today and have been advised that its too late to cancel and I must send evidence of the discount and where I had it from before they will refund me the difference!!!0 -
I think there are a couple of points here where we can claim our money back as a breach of the terms and conditions.
Term 3.2
"3.2 Whilst it is our intention to keep our website up to date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. If we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we will contact you prior to accepting your order with the correct details. You may then either cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order as cancelled."
As admitted in their email, they got the delivery dates wrong. So I would expect that they should give us the right to cancel.
Term 2.2
"2.2 When you submit an order to us on our website you will receive a 'bounce back' confirmatory email of this order saying that we are processing your order. You will then receive a second email from us acknowledging your order and giving you estimated timescales for delivery. You should check both emails for accuracy and let us know immediately if there are any errors. Neither of these emails constitute acceptance of the order by us. Your order will be accepted by us (and a contract will then be formed between us) when we despatch the goods to you. Title to the goods will pass to you on delivery."
I have not received the 2nd email yet.
Also, put your credit / debit card company on notice that you didn't authorise that amount. The last time I did it, they credit card company just refunded the amount - they didn't want the hassle of looking into a such a small amount.
If there are any moneysaving expert lawyers around, perhaps they could give a legal opinion on the validity of additions direct taking the money without express authorisation.
Some negative press directed towards additionsdirect.co.uk would help too. Any chance Martin could mention it on his show ?0 -
im afraid additions is part of littlewoods and dont honour codes that youve not been sent... Martin had to ask them to refund a load of money a couple of months ago when things got out of hand..I dont think he'd do the same again as he said to be wary them..Bad mother to 2!

I'm sure they've cancelled mine, as I would have thought they would have taken the money by now!0 -
just phoned my bank and they've taken the full amount from me too but haven't refunded the £18.50. Surely this can't be legal. I agreed to pay £5 so if they don't want to honour the code, fine, but cancel my order, don't take £23.50 from my account without my permission!!!
Imagine someone setting up a business selling tshirts and states in their terms and conditions that the amount charged to the card will be the stated price multiplied by ten. If I go to the site and purchase a nice tshirt for £10 but have £100 deducted from my account, this can't be legal. It's the same principal for additions.0 -
I ordered flowers and used the code they took out the full amount..i emailed them and explained..they said they would refund me, hope they do:j0
