  • I've been charged the full amount from my bank account too despite getting a confirmation e-mail stating I have been charged £5. I just sent them an e-mail stating that if I they do not replace the difference immediately I want a full refund and to cancel my order.
I know it's a bit cheecky expecting it to work as it's a promotional code - but for them to say that they'll charge people £5 then remove the full amount from bank accounts I feel is completely wrong. Luckily it hasn't sent me over my bank account limit but it may do with others. I'll never use this company again.
  • I had an email confirming my order for the £5 flower deal and then another email today confirming delivery.I have just checked my bank account to find that they have deducted the full amount of £23.50-are they allowed to do this? I think they should just have cancelled my order. Customer services opens at 8am so they will be having contact with me then.

    They overcharged me too!
I couldnt be bothered with arguing but the above poster seemed to have done really well!!
I just cancelled the order completely and they said I should have the money back within 3 - 4 working days so I guess I'll just wait and see..
    Really not happy though :(

I had the same yesterday, I rang Customer Services and they said that is the procedure, they take the full amount and then issue a credit to your bank in a few days. Dont know we will stand as I dont want the order without the discount so they will be getting some flowers returned!!!

this is what i'm worried about too. if they're going to charge the full amount and not honour the code, they should cancel the order. Flowers can't be sent back as they're perishable goods so are exempt from the 7 day distance selling rule.
    :D
  • Hi just of phone to Additions. All codes been rejected and no refund of over payment because the code has been revoked because of over abuse of the code. They are not honoring it so no refund of over payment to anyone. I canceled my flowers but she said they may still come and to not take delivery of them. Will take up to 48 hours for full refund (£22.50). Would advise everyone to ring and check as they not going to refund over charges no matter how much we not happy about it.

Ordered Monday night, not been charged to my account yet. Hopefully will be there by tomorrow then I can decide to cancel (assuming the wrong amount is charged)!

My receipt and email both state £5 so its ridiclious if they charge an amount I haven't consented too.

Does anyone know what rights we have if they refuse the refund due to us using code that wasn't directly given to us by the company? I think I'm panicking a bit.

This reminds me of the Littlewoods problem a couple of months back. There is a thread on here somewhere which is pages long...
