  • Afternoon all :) Well its practically evening lol

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs them today, esp Smokeybabe

Late congrats to meanmarie on your new granddaughter :)

Its half term here so we've had a busy week, Monday was fine so she played outside most of the day, we went to a soft play centre and Maccy D's on Tues then to a water fun centre yesterday. Today has just been a lazy day in, we've made some biscuits and watched some of DD's baby videos (think its with the new baby coming, she just asked if we could watch them for some reason). OH has been in Glasgow since Tues morning, i've to pick him up from the station at 9.30pm. Oh and they finally came and collected my broken microwave, just got to wait now for them to either fix it or replace it - i'm going mad without it lol

Jellybean is 20 weeks today :) And still no bump :( Got the scan on Monday afternoon so hopefully will find out what we're having, i think its another pink one, OH thinks its blue, DD wants a sister cos boys are boring apparantly. But as long as all is well it doesn't matter either way. Consultant app next Fri to discuss a c-section, will be around 37 weeks cos they dont think i'll get any further on than i did with DD.

Me and DD are having jacket potatoes, beans and cheese for tea, OH will eat on the train.

Hope everyone has had a good day

    Hi all

Smoky - I am so sorry your DH has still not really turned the corner - very many hugs and love to you and the family and hope you can give us better news soon.

DGal - wow I think it is wonderful how quick everything kicked in for your DH. Hope he is OK and the best treatment sorted out. Glad your DS with you as he would probably have panicked if you had to phone him in the UK. Hope DH continues to improve.

PenPin - I think the misdispensing of your medication awful. In your state of health you need it to be right. Please take it further as you don't deserve this extra worry.

N9eave - you must have been at a loose end - you have posted twice today!!!!!!!!!!

HH - bet you enjoyed the babysitting. Glad the baby did well. our DD breastfeeds but all the boys have taken a bottle from me - reassuring in case we are needed for back-up

Lilliebet - well done, you are doing well!

Well, managed a quick look at you all today and today I actually was really busy especially as I have to take tomorrow off to take Mum to a funeral (she gets a bit wobbly now when friends pass away as she is in her 80s). I am going up tomorrow, staying the night with her and then collecting the DGSs on the way home on Saturday morning. I have just come upstairs to put up the travel cot for DGS3 and look out their cuddly bedtime toys. Did boys' visit shopping in Somerfield locally on the way home and they have totally revamped the store - it was a nightmare but really much nicer and cleaner than it was Safeway and then Morrisons. I got half way home and realised I had forgotten the Petite Filou! Will pick some up on Saturday morning when I have to get fresh bread at DD's Tesco Express.

Aussie - enjoy your Ninny Day and think of me having the Nanny/Granny overnight Saturday with 3 of them on my own! I always end up really tired but I do so enjoy having them it is a small price to pay.

Sorry I haven't mentioned more of you but you do know I care!

    Love and hugs

    Good evening everyone :hello:

    (((Smokybabe and DH)))

Penny Pincher - write a letter to the PCT that each hospital is in. Your life is far too precious to have them messing you around.

scuzz - good luck for the interview and house move.

Work is as busy as ever. It doesn't help that I've had gastroenteritis (sp?). I'd never had it before (knowingly, at least) until this week, so I'd just kept plugging away at work. I went home early on Tuesday and earlyish yesterday to go to the docs. We're so lucky with our doctor. The one that I saw yesterday, she had so much time for me (it seemed!) and made me feel important, even though I felt like a real hypochondriac as the school had TOLD me to go to the docs.

Right, I've got a stack of marking to do so I'd better go before Philip Glenister's one liners on Ashes to Ashes.

  • Off topic once again, can this week get any funnier.

Well what a roller coaster of a day again!! All I can say is I am glad I am off work this week..........

Got up this morning and put some toast in for me and youngest DD all of a sudden I really did not want it and started feeling very bizarre to the point I started to panic! could feel my breathing getting shallow, I went clammy, cold and started sweating profusely, in fact by this point panic turned into fear which I think made it worse!

Went shakily upstairs leaving dd in lounge and said to my eldest to come into my room with me as at this point I felt I needed an ambulance and when they say everything passes in front of you all I can remember thinking was I can't die yet I am only 30 and also had the feeling of being completely helpless and not in control, quickly told her what to do if I passed out and dialled my hubby.

Thankfully these symptoms subsided within minutes of getting onto my bed, hubby was home within minutes and I was feeling okaish after 30 minutes or so!

    Very scary at the time!

Hubby stayed home and made me toast with honey and a sweet cup of tea incase it was to do with my sugar levels being low for whatever reason, he then escorted me to my mothers where I stayed the rest of the day.

Thankfully just as we were leaving to Mum's postie delivered my Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Home book from Ebay :) which I sat and read from cover to cover today........

Have felt strangely tired all day and slightly un nerved as to what caused it but I am still here so far!!

I was going to do so much today and yet again had those ideas quashed.

It has been a very weird week all in all but has made me realise what I have!!!!

    Sorry to ramble :)

Hi All, not been quite myself lately - in two weeks I've attended the funerals of my beloved Mum, a fdear riend and, today, a very dear uncle. Bit surreal seeing people I don't usually see twice in two weeks. Just a very strange time all round. Hopefully i can now begin to get my head together again. Making me really consider my own mortality and what is really important. My usual priorities are not that important. I certainly don't mean I ought to be wasteful, but saving every penny maybe isn't the be-all and end-all. Sorry, this could be the wine talking here! Hope you are all ok.

    Think twice before spending anything!
