Well, just heard about British Gas £600 million profit  I am still with them for gas and electric, so will be switching today. How on earth can they justify profit levels like that when we have people who daren't switch the heating on
Me too, but the trouble is they are still the cheapest for me. All energy providers will be making huge proffits....NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

Good Afternoon All
(((Hugs))) to everyone who needs one, especially PP, DonnyGal and Smokey.
Late posting today - dont know where this morning has gone. Have decided that today is my day off. Been into town this morning as have loads of birthdays coming up, 2 big family ones and DD's 3 friends. So spent a large amount of money on cards but also got the mothers day ones.
Bought birthday pressies and treated myself to some knickers from dp's - 3 for 2.
Have been watching a film this afternoon and generally chillin. Will empty the washing machine in a minute & iron some cushion covers Ive washed but that will be it. Have a nice easy tea of egg and chips.
Off now for a quick surf.

Hello all !
Well bit of a wasted morning..........waiting for delivery of pine dresser having been told around 10am.................still waiting ! Have rung del. chap and he wasn't given a time apparently so now its going to be about 3pm..........not even sure it'll fit through our door yet..............lol I'm surrounded by bags and boxes of stuff I cleared out of the old one yesterday. Could only just squeeze in to get on computer.........lol
OH is well miffed at having to wait so long..........well, he was the one that so desparately wanted it and now he's worrying about size of doorway etc.........what a to do..............still, if it fits..........big IF.............it'll brighten up the kitchen and give me a lot of fun decorating it.........have to move the kitchen table about a bit I think..........and there's an old arm chair to bet taken away (del.chap knew nothing about that either...........lol -total breakdown of communication..................lol)
Can't do much due to amount of 'stuff'.................some waiting to be collected and some waiting to find a new home on dresser (hopefully)
Hope you're having a good day and hugs ((((((((((((((:o ))))))))))))))) to all those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Afternoon all; just sitting down having spent a couple of hours reorganising my office (until the next time it needs it). I still have loads of paperwork to do but at least I can see the desk and all the files are neatly placed in the new shelf unit. It has five deep shelves but the top one won't hold files because they'll fall out so I have to decide what else to put there. At the moment all the files are organised according to
subject - woe betide DH if he messes up my system! I also received my free Avery label samples - 39 file labels of different sizes which will come in really handy.
CRAZY - you didn't miss Martin last week - he was pushed out in favour of the football (cheek!). He's much more important!
REDRUBY - yes, I despair these days trying to get anywhere with offices. People don't 'get back to you' any more, they just hope you go away and don't bother them again. At least once a week I have to do someone else's job for them and even then I don't trust anyone and always phone back and check. I also always insist on everything in writing and I always write and confirm anything that has been agreed on the phone. It's very time-consuming but has proved my point on more than one occasion! It's very difficult to prove something if it has only been verbally agreed to.
Well, the stew for dinner is bubbling away on the hob so that's dinner taken care of. I have this big pile of filing to do and tomorrow's payslips for the sub-contractors to type so I'd better do that - I'd much rather be knitting. In fact, I think I'll sit down for half an hour and knit - I didn't watch Martin's programme last night so I can watch the recording.
See you later.
