When I was 21 I was the only one interested in cooking, sewing, knitting etc etc. Now I'm 4* it's still the same. You guys are the only people that I know, other than our 'wrinklies' who are into all this. It would be lovely to have a local friend with the same interests. All I get is Oh! you are good! I don't regard myself as 'good' I just regard these aspects of my life as normal.
Sorry, Good Morning, hope all the ailing folks get better soon...Smokey, DG etc"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

SMOKEY so sorry to hear your OH has relapsed. Hugs to you, also to you DG and anyone else who needs one.
LOUPLOU you're lucky to have learnt at a young age chasing money and things don't make you happy. Good for you.
Am off to bed shortly, what a night! OH is going out with my Dad and DS to a local science fair, so hopefully should have a decent kip. You never know when you work nights  .
Trying to resisit the urge to pick at food. Once this degree is over, I really must get my head in the right place to lose some weight. Also need to start thinking about what I'm going to do when I retire. Will probably go and do a two year course in cognitive behavioural therapy and set myself up in business.
Hopefully catch up when I've had some kip!

Been really busy today. It was one of those days you get heaps done and you feel like you've actually achieved something. I won't list all I've done as it will take up too much space.Tea tonight is Carrot Pesto Lasagne. It's a new one that [STRIKE]got rid[/STRIKE] used a lot of carrots.
Ninny day tomorrow so will spend the day playing etc with DGS. It's turned really hot here and a heat wave weekend is expected. Temps are to reach 38 - 40. Roll on Autumn. I will lay around the house like a beached whale.

Morning All
Hugs to everyone who either needs or wants them :grouphug:and especailly to Donny-G & SmokeyB, thoughts & prayers with you both. Bargian R I'll PM you later!
Well, after a fairly successful day yesterday, today I have cleaned the kitchen (still got the balsted floor to wash though) & done another load of washing, just need to find somewhere to hang it now! Off into the village soon, going to drop off Spuds Leapad at the childrens consignment shop & see if we can make any money back on it, and see if they are interested in any Happy Land stuff too. Then to the butchers for this weeks special offer (stuffed chicken parcels BOGOF) and think I am going to have a go at making Aussie Lass' Impossible pie for dinner. Only problem is that I am working later so will have to mix it & leave it for hubby to switch the oven on later, hope it will be OK sitting for a couple of hours?
As I'm working later I'm going to let myself have a quiet afternoon once Spud is napping, just reading/watching tv or snoozing myself. But I am generally feeling more positive today than the last few weeks, it's amazing the difference one really good day can make, must be all the good wishes you guys sent me yesterday:T:A:T

Donnygal – hope your DH feels better soon.
Deleted_User – good on you! It takes more strength to do your own thing than it does to follow the crowd.
Smokeybabe – thinking of you
Yesterday, the boys had a seriously busy day playing! we got there at 11am and didn't leave until 4.30 pm:eek: The weather was gorgeous but cold but 4 adults keeping up with nine children aged 1 - 7 years old with bikes and scooters kept us on our toes. We are having a chill out day today and I shall get the BM and WM on soon. Weather here is overcast but feels quite mild. Hoping to make another traybake as well today. going to try it with defrosted cherries and see what it comes out like - should be interesting:rotfl:

Morning all. Massive hugs to Smokeybabe, Donny-Gal, Penny Pincher! and everyone else who needs one. PP, I can't believe the hospital messed up AGAIN, you must have some legal recourse on that, it's appalling.
A quiet day here today I hope. Got up early to put a nice-smelling goulash into the SC, treated myself to poached eggs for breakfast and am now about to go and shower. Going to see a friend this afternoon who is stuck in bed with a really bad back - she really suffers with it, I feel so sorry for her. Most of the house is vaguely clean so I'm going to cut out a new top for me this morning and hopefully get time to sew it up tomorrow.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi again folks!
Just popped home to get changed. Going back again soon. DH appears to be the same as always, waiting to catch the doctor and ask some questions.
Thanks for all your good wishes, let's hope its caught in time and whatever caused it is fixable.
