Are we allowed to bump posts :o The thread moves so quickly I think it got missed or maybe nobody uses either range. Any recommendations or bad sides to either of these two ranges?

Haven't got time to go through the posts at the moment to see if anyone has answered you on this, but I have tried both Origins and Clinique, both are good, but I don't have problem skin. Of the two, personally I prefer Origins, they have some wonderful products which smell divine. Clinique are not perfumed ....... I like smelly things!!
  • hey Jilly, ur a Manchester bootser am i right? was you in the loo's in Asda at Eastlands discussing eye cream this afternoon? there was a right debate going on lol the lady was saying how she uses l'oreal the other saying summit bout her skin getting thinner......hehe the things u hear in the ladies toilets :rotfl:

Not guilty I'm afraid. But I do go in Asda there when DH and son drag me round the Manchester City Shop!!!! I love the conversations who hear in the ladies LOL.

Hi milk! Yes i know you can take back Boot's own products if you are allergic, and i know you can definatly exchange them:) but a refund i'm not sure? I'm sure this has happened to a few of our fellow bootsers who will be able to say if you can get the cash back;)
    HTH :D

P.S:-Yeah just noticed this is my 200th post :j:j
    And another star:D

Thanks an exchange would be OK as long as I'm not stuck with a mascara I can't use.
  • Hi Jilly, yeah the one with Tesco's on, spot on :D
At least 15+ right as you go in on the right hand side straight in front of you. And yes, they are marked at full on shelf so i asked SA to do a scan and lo! One chuffties shopper! There's plenty there, so knock yourself out :p

We do frequent the same Boots don't we?! I try to make sure there's plenty left for fellow bootsers, even ask them to restock if things look low! lol. Although no Nivea Q10 night creams left though now...

Have a great day bootsing hun! x

PS Don't go to Bury store in the Millgate. Evil EVIL SA there!! Grrr

You're a good Bootser aren't you? Asking them to stock up. I'm off to Bury in a bit so I might bribe my son with a McDonalds so I can nip in Boots on the retail park. He doesn't share my passion for Boots!!!!! Don't go the Heywood store - there is nothing there!!!!!

    Help needed from Lincoln Bootsers
I have to go to Lincoln next week, can anyone tell me if the Boots on High Street is within easy walking distance of St Marks Place? I think there is parking at St. Marks, am I right? If not, where is best place to park for going to both of them?
Also, is Carlton Centre on a retail park? Is there parking there?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Amelia's Mummy!

Glad you mentioned to grab a few of these. To be honest I've never found a clearance section in Cheshire Oaks and it's not through lack of trying. I've looked everywhere but can't see any. I know Ellesmere Port have recently moved their clearance section though, it's near the back of the shop now at the far end of the baby aisle right on the end.

:rotfl: had to laugh about your DD though. I've got a very nearly 3 year old DD and a 14 months old DS so Bootsing sessions tend to be short when they're around.
:T twig1 has found the clearance section at cheshire oaks:T
"Searched the store and found the clearance section which has moved to by the sandwiches and baby stuff. King of shaves stuff. Fragrance free and cucumber stuff reduced to 30p some Charlie and Lolo dolls and some vitamin things."
Going back today to use the last of my vouchers, so I'll head straight for the clearance section first

Has anybody ever tried these products?

Am thinking about a clinique system as have problem skin despite no longer being a teenager lol and they look good - i'm loathed to spend so much money without a recommendation though.

Hi I have problem skin and I use clarins which only uses natural products. I suggest you go to a Clarins counter and they will talk you through what you should use and if you ask for some samples to try over a couple of days before spending money they will most of the time give them out as it is clarins policy to let customers try before they buy.
On the clinique note I used to use this but it is very harsh and strip my skin away and didn't really help with spots etc. You can sometimes get samples of these too but not always.

Hope this is of some help.

I check on this site all the time for glitches, bargains, peoples stories about Boots experiences and funny ways of describing No7 ladies that often have me in howls of laughter.

I don't think though that Ive ever before left this site on the one hand in tears at the thought of all the terrible pain some people have to go through and at the same time absolutely marvelling in wonder how even in their darkest moments human beings are capable of seeking out a point of light relief that can bring them some measure of delight when everything else seems so hard.

I believe you are all truely amazing. I believe that you all deserve any and all moments of delight that you can find and I believe that because you have this positive spirit you will get well, you will survive.

Whenever I posted a glitch before or found anything interesting I did it because I thought that it was great fun, an amusing diversion. Now I know it can be so much more than that. Whenever I find anything now I'll post it and think of you, you brave and stoic women. You carry on , enjoy your boots therapy to the maximum and immerse yourself in these amusing moments of delight and fun.:T
So very well said for all of us:T :T
  • going to brombrough store tomorrow what should i look out for bargain wise?
nettienoo, not much to be had in Bromboough I'm afraid, there are 3 clearance sections, one on the back wall by the baby clothes out nothing much on there yesterday, another in a baby aisle the one opposite the mens toiletries, again nothing much there either and the last one is in the aisle with the sunceams on, this one has just got reduced price suncreams on.

Must admit a bit disappointed with the clearance section as before christmas I bagged some great bargains on the special edition No7 stuff. (before I discovered this fab forum!!) otherwise would have let you all know!
