I've been lurking and hopefully learning!

Now know where the clearance bit is in Colchester boots! ;)
Seem to spend my lunch breaks "mooching round" :p and then get my "plan" together and go for it... SA who served me kept smiling as I produced each voucher!

My long-suffering OH now gets "boots" chat ;) when I get home with my bags of booty LOL

    :T

Loved that description of your Boots chat! I tried explaining what I was pleased about to my OH after a trip to Boots on Tuesday, but his eyes glazed over after only a couple of seconds, so I think he was paying even less attention than he usually does when I speak to him! LOL! Good job we've got this Forum, isn't it!:T

    Morning :)

Does anyone know how quickly you can start using the scar serum after an op?

Had my little girl (Isabelle Grace, not so little at 10lb 6oz!) by casearean 2 weeks ago and want to try out the serum on my scar. Suspect its possibly a bit soon though, would have to send DH out to get me some as i can't drive for the next 4 weeks anyway.......so stop posting all these bargains/glitches ;)

    TIA

    x

    Hi Melon78

    Congrats on your new arrival!!!

I used dermatix - (which I think is similar to the Boots Scar serum) on my c section scar. I was told not to use before the wound had healed completely.

    Hope this helps.

I'd like to second that. We all like to get bargains etc. but you are absolutely right there are lots of things a lot more precious than baragin hunting. I would like to join you in wishing everyone well.

Also to thank everyone who contributes to this thread, it is because we all share the knowledge that we are able to take advantage of the bargains that are found.

I don't get to join in your late night sessions, so I am coming in a bit late on this one as usual, but just to say I totally agree with Dollardog! You ladies are lovely!:TThanks for all your posts and for keeping me company at the PC - I can feel a long session coming on this evening when the rest of my house will be glued to the [strike]thugby[/strike] rugby:rotfl:

Sorry to ask this,:o probably been asked
a dozen times before. Seems that my brain can't
store any info for long at the moment
Planning on buying P&P Gift Box
    Can I use
    £5 pc voucher
    £5 Pink voucher
    and also get GWP
    Thanks

I don't think the pink voucher is going through as it's a gift set you are buying not individual items, despite them all being skincare. Can't see a problem with the PC voucher or getting the GWP though.

I'm sure someone who has tried it will drop in to correct this but failing that just give it a try but expect to maybe have to pay another £5 BUT get another pink voucher back as over £10 spend.

I was there about 11.30 am, I managed to get my No7 GWP and free highlighter, dreamlash mascara and extra dreamlash points and used No7 £5 voucher with no problem although I am waiting for my new AC ( had to get point validated ), haven't got any PC vouchers though:( to bring my total down more. Also got another £5 voucher back as bought another few bits and bobs.

thanks for letting me know where the clearance section is, I'll venture out later and have a look.
    What time where you there?

    :A

I was there at 12.45 just couldn't get myself organised . Hope you have a good shop today do you live nearby. I'm in Chester.

The scar serum is from the Expert range not No7.

I call the Boots bargains my Boots-therapy. There's nothing like a bit of shopping therapy to take your mind off less pleasant things. I've just finished 5 months of chemo and I still managed, on my good days, to make a few Boots trips. And as all my treatment is at Christie hospital in M'cr, we sail right past the Trafford Centre on our way there - oh so tempting! I've got three weeks of daily radiotherapy coming up so instead of feeling miserable about that, I'm thinking yay lots of trips to the Trafford Centre and hopefully some more Boots bargains!!!!!!!!!! So you lovely ladies (and gents?) on this thread are helping me lots by giving me something fun to think about (and then go and spend!!!!!). Thank you!!!

Wow! Too right what someone else said about what people on this thread have to deal with in their lives outside of Bootsing. Well done on keeping so positive, and good luck for your radiotherapy - enjoy your Boots therapy afterwards!

Congratulations on the birth of your BIG baby. Well done.

Please ask your GP or health visitor about this. Earliest I would expect would be 3 months.

It's still a wound at the moment and not a scar, so needs to be kept free of anything that could possibly infect it. And any processed creams could do that.

Just stick to water until you are totally healed. Natures the best healer in the early months. Believe me you don't want an infection in a caesarian scar. Uggh:eek:

Yes just stick to water for now i would wait untill you have your post-natal check up at least, before putting anything on it unless your midwife says you can. It take a long time for everything to settle down after all it is a major op you had. Don't get me started on infections on a section scar It's sooooo nasty. Mine was 3 years ago and i will never get rid of the boched job that is my scar but i will def try the expert cream if i can find it and see if that helps.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
Want to be fit for 30 not fat at 30
    but i want never gets!!!
