    Oh my God:eek:
I have spent the day waiting for a man to measure my windows for blinds...
but to stave off the boredom I HAVE DONE HOUSEWORK!!!!!!!
Now I hate housework, its something I do when we have no clothes to wear or we cant see the tv for dust:D
But today I have scrubbed the bathroom, emptied out the bathroom cabinets, tidied the kitchen drawers, flung out loads of stuff, cleaned the windows and the ledges have nothing on them.
I have found it to be quite cathartic:rolleyes:
    Do I need therapy?:rotfl:

Wow Jinky, well done! I wish I'd gone mad this morning....I've been baking and now the kitchen is a mess. :o

I've added your thread into the daily thread where we all talk about what we've been up to.

well dd18 has gone back home to her bf :( as it's all calmed down now

I'm just keeping schtumm cos I know only too well how difficult it is to leave an abusive relationship. dd11 was supposed to be staying at hers at the end of the week but have now arranged for exmil to have her instead as I think it's going to be a rough week chez dd18. Anyway as others have said all I can do is be there for her .... except for htis afternoon - dd11 and I off in a bit to the tutenkhamun exhibition and a feed at the o2 - have a good afternoon
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Afternoon all,

Pen Pin...sorry to hear that you have pleurisy, had it 30 years ago when pregnant with DS3...not pleasant and couldn't have anything to help, remember it well.

Hugs to all in need to-day, not really at my best, DD2 kept in hospital as doctor reckoned she would only be home to go back again, waters broken and contraction intervals are now around 15 mins...don't think it will be over quickly. Managed to get partner flight at exorbitant rate...can't book for 'today' online, typical bl***y aer fungus, then his flight was an hour late but he is now at hospital so I am a little more relaxed have spent the day on phone and minding 3 year old DGD who is 'not my friend' to-day as she wants her Mammy...she is asleep at present so hopefully we will have news before she goes back to bed...according to her boy or girl baby's name is to be Caitriona...so hoping for a girl!

Glad that cold or whatever it was has left me, as with new grandchild and DDIL and DGD2 arriving on Thursday I will not have much time to be ill over next week or so.

Welcome new posters. I don't think I'm that obsessed about not spending any money at all but certainly since coming on this site and this thread I've been able to pay off debts much quicker than I ever thought possible and I can now have a bit of a life. :T

    PenPin poor you, take care.

Haven't really done a lot today, all the kids were out playing (we live in a cul-de-sac) so I've had a nice time chatting to my neighbours. Also took DS to see a friend of his, then went down the beach for an hour, so love it when it's empty. All my washing is now airing. DS has karate soon, shall go to Asda and see if I can get any bargains.

MEANMARIE a new baby, hope all goes well and keep us posted.

    Have a lovely evening all.

    Evening everyone.

I'm really tired and avoided taking a nap this afternoon. Ran a few errands this morning which exhausted me.

Yesterday we managed to go to the tip twice and I'm sure we'll visit it again once or twice more during the week. Also got some baking done-double choc chip cookies and a banana loaf. Tomorrow I'll run my errands in the morning and get some more clearing and baking done.

Tonight for tea we have hm pizza with dough balls, yum yum yum.

    Hugs to those who need/want

tI seem to have fallen off the wagon this month, last week I spent £16+ a Tesco and today another £15............that takes this months food bill to £131 £31 over my budget...................for the month............

Next month I am going to have to batten the hatches and stick to my £100.....I need to get some more cash into the US hols account.......we are desparate to go next winter.

I did not sleep this afternoon, so hopefully will sleep tonight....nor did I do the irnong although I did manage to cook the sauce for tomorrows pizza....we had chicken pie, mash cabbage and carrots for supper followed by Lemon cheesecake with black cherries......no I did not buy them, they were given to me bym my friend on Sunday.

I did manage to make a bit more space in the hall cupboard by moving some stuff around. I was looking for something, could not fimd it, no idea where it is, but I need it, its the instructions to use the quilt design package I have...and I want to design a scrap quilt............

Not sure whats on TV tonight, will be going to bed early to try and make up fpr last night..........

   well i would but im working
in Scotland:rolleyes:   anyone up for an after 5pm - could you take photos maybe :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: best laid plans eh :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyways hows you all doing - Ive had some kitchen disasters again - bit of a theme it would seem. Last night my dishwasher was leaking really badly and dopey Nels couldnt remember how to turn the water off so that i could get some sleep (ie not just one turn of the stopcock but a full screw in:o :o sorry but its true:o :o ) So with the rate of the leak that meant i had to keep nipping down every 2 hours or so to change the towels under the leak. Its at this point I remember why having an OH is a really good idea:D

(hey aussie and CM - not that you would of course but the above post doesnt need editing its already a Ooooh errr misssus one ;) )

So I was very pleased to see the kitchen fitter this morning (cute though he is it was because of his plumbing skills this time:rotfl: ) who also showed me the full screw in of the stopcock at which I nodded knowingly:D )

So all the cupboards around the dishwasher are now warped and need replacing:mad: and my tiles still aint done:mad: NEVER consider a new kitchen MOVE

Tea tonight is a chicken and bacon pasta in a mushroom sauce so life aint that bad:D

    Stopcock update tomorrow
