OS Daily Monday 18th February 2008

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 18th February 2008. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all................((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) if you need one, I do can't sleep..........went to bed just after 10pm, but so much going round in the old brain box I decided to get up and surf for an hour or so......

I want to make a bears paw quilt, so am going to have a go with my quilt designer programme and see what I can come up with. Have a load of scrappy fabrics I want to use up.

OH is snoring well...............

This morning I want to go to the library and have to collect the mouse I ordered for my laptop, so a trip up on the bus and walk home I think.

It is cold out but does not seem to be as cold as it was Saturday night.

See y'all later

Morning Csarina and all who follow,
i haven`t ventured outside yet but i think it will be cold Brrrrrr!
so far so good, the bm has an hour left on it but i have emptied the dw and wm and put another load in so it should still finish the programme in the eco7 time.
I may even try to go back to sleep for an hour as i am w**king late shift today and i will be really tired being up so early.
Yesterday was a very productive day and i eventually cleaned upstairs and spent most of the day in the kitchen, i made the roast dinner with pork hm stuffing and all the trimmings and i plated two more up too so they will do for today.
I cooked an chicken and a pork hock, made hobnobs and Mrs Macawbers museli slices which were really nice but have all vanished - good job i froze some.
I was going to update the freezer inventory and move some things around but never got around to that so i will do it later.
I need another cup of tea now so i will catch up later.
    Have a great Monday everyone.
Stressedoutmumof1 - hope your dad gets better soon.

Morning CSARINA and SUNNYDAY - hope you both managed to get some sleep. For all the insomniacs amongst us, I have dropped off to sleep much more easily since I started having my last 'caffeine' drink at about 7pm. After that, I've been drinking redbush tea (available in most supermarkets these days) which you can have with or without milk; I'm sure it's helping a lot.

(((Hugs))) to SMOKY - hope DH is even better today.

CHOCOLATE.ORANGE - good luck for today.

Well, isn't it cold? I have a sneaky feeling my DH has tampered with the heating timer because it was freezing cold when I got up at 5 o'clock. I have just re-tampered with it and woe betide him if he does it again!

Well, yesterday was a pottering about day; had a lovely roast chicken. Loads left over so will do a curry today and search the indexed collections for some other 'rubber chicken' ideas.

All our local schools are on half term this week; my DGS is doing four days of football training with a local coach so he's really looking forward to that. DGD is doing girly things with her mum.

I suddenly realised how close Mother's Day is so I need to get a card made; I have picked up a couple of lovely brooches for my Mum so far so I'm going to have a look on the internet to see if I can print off a little box to put them in; I also want to crochet a bookmark for her so I need to hunt through my patterns. For lots of gift ideas, I have found this site which is great. www.giftgen.co.uk It's a 'gift generator' - you just click on how much you want to spend, age, interests and gender and it comes up with loads of suggestions including where to buy, how to make, comparison sites and retail stores. Really impressive and something I will use a lot. I've bookmarked it and will use it to build up this year's present list.

Well, I'd better go and get DH up. He and his sub-contractors are doing a CSCS Health & Safety test this morning and I have a feeling he will bring them all back here afterwards for a cuppa - I think I'll have to make some of Twink's hobnobs!

Anyway, see you all later and hope you all have a good day.

    Howdy folks,

Weather still a bit crazy here with more storms to hit in the next day or so. DH & OS sent home today due to rain. Then OS & DGS came up for the morning. So that was the morning gone. This afternoon I've done nothing. :D Oh, yes I did. I tried a SC rice dessert which tastes lovely. Just got in with the OS criteria there. ;)

Chocorange Hope all goes well today.
Moiliere That website sounds interesting. I'll check it out shortly.
Sunnyday Hope you get another hrs sleep in.

Had a lovely weekend, especially meeting up with Churchmouse! She was absolutely lovely; just how I expected. We chatted for hours, and it was such a shame when we had to leave - I'm sure we'll be meeting again :j Churchie has some very posh relatives, and we got on so well she didn't mention her BM until the very end ;) She's given me 2 beautiful HM dishcloths - one with a watering can, and one with a pic of Darcy the rooster :T Thanks, Churchie :kisses3:

Haribo - don't you dare mess with my post, or I'll set Pink onto you :p
