    Hi all !

Lovely sunny day again but very very cold............at least OH has now fixed bathroom radiator.

One of the lads we look after was with his family all last week due to half term here.........was coming back last night but opted to catch the early bus this morning............after a week of not having to get up early it was a bit of rude awakening...............now need matchsticks to prop eyes open.
Managed to plough through load of paperwork............I'd left it too long - new years resolutiong to 'deal with things as they arrive' went out the window Jan 2 I think..............lol Still, it's done now. Been having yet another look at electric/gas and wondering whether to switch or not.........all seem much the same to me now and my brain can't cope with the confusion of it all. Oh for someone to just walk in and say 'this is what you need',,,,,,,but life just isn't like that.
Wrote the cards I made yesterday so thats a bit more out of the way. Have yet to re-do Mums Day card for Mum..............maybe later.
Have even done some de-cluttering (I surprised myself !!!) Not a lot but there's a few more carrier bags waiting for collection so I'm getting there but not so anyone would notice if they came in.
Made myself 'earn' time on here today but now I've done fair bit I feel and entitled to relax ............well for a bit anyway.

Have a great day and hugs(((((((((((((:o ))))))))))))))))to all those who need them.

    Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them. Crikey it's been ages since I last posted on the daily- I do however, pop in regularly to catch up with all your doings and keep motivated.
OS has been carrying on much the same as usual. Today I've sorted out all the dry washing and hung out a dark load. Have also trundled the bin round the front. This evening looks like it's going to be very dull as shall need to hoover under the bed [all that decluttering makes me look in places where I don't normally venture:D ] and if I have the energy I might make a start on the kitchen cupboards. If not I shall start the mending jobs that seemed to have mushroomed whilst listening to OH and the small person bickering whilst trying to make a hobbit hole [oh I do so love "take-home" work when it's set for half term:rolleyes: and I thought I'd finished with homework] Oh the sweet joy of family life!
We're pushing the boat out and having Buck Rabbit from my Family Circle money saving recipe book tonight as we'll have all had a busy day.

    Good Morning sorry afternoon......

Sun still belting down, but boy is it cold when you go out. ent back to bed just after 3, was yawning my head off, as soon as I got into bed I was wide awake!!!!!!!!!!!GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR eventually went off but woke just after 8am.

We went to the library and nipped into Tesco. I had a quick look to see if they had any of their own value extra strong cheese, we have been going in for the last 8 weeks trying to get it.....today wey hey.......I bought 4 blocks 2 in the frdige and 2 in the freezer......at last. I made up my mind if I saw it I would buy it..............

We had bacon sarnies for lunch when we got back from Tesco, yummy......

We did not walk back, the bag was too heavy......at last we can get in the front door, the porch is not finished, but apparently it could be several weeks before they come to move the panel and fit the door and windows. Then it has to be plastered and painted before the inner door can be taken off.
Oh well guess it will be finished sometime.

I have the sauce on for pizza tomorrow, I like to leave it in the frdige for a day to allow the flavour to develop befre I use it.

Nothing much else planned for today, tomorrow night they turn the water off, so might just take the towels down in the morning and get them done, then thats my washing finished until at least the weekend. I still have yesterdays bed linen to iron, will see if I feel strong enough to do it this afternoon!!!!!!!!

    Off for a cuppa
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Oh my God:eek:
I have spent the day waiting for a man to measure my windows for blinds...
but to stave off the boredom I HAVE DONE HOUSEWORK!!!!!!!
Now I hate housework, its something I do when we have no clothes to wear or we cant see the tv for dust:D
But today I have scrubbed the bathroom, emptied out the bathroom cabinets, tidied the kitchen drawers, flung out loads of stuff, cleaned the windows and the ledges have nothing on them.
I have found it to be quite cathartic:rolleyes:
    Do I need therapy?:rotfl:

  • Does anyone else get so obsessed with saving money that they are loath to spend anything and are always looking for ways around it?

Hmm - not sure how healthy this is.. completely obsessed with NSD's  and spending WAY too much time on here looking for more ways to cut back.

Please could anyone else who feels this way confess so I don't feel such a loony. Thank you.

  • Good afternoon all, the sun is shining so bright here in berkshire ( it looks wonderful from inside) I dont have to go out today, as the boys have half term. I failed to get childcare for today so have skipped uni. Have been good though started an essay that is due in fieve weeks. this is the earlist i have ever started any work. so quite chuffed withmyself.

My 13 year old has gone to the youth club this afternoon, they are all off to the bowling alley, youngest is just chilling in front of the tv. With the 13 yr old always playing games the little one rearly gets to watch cartoons so hes loving this little fix.

Back to by placement tomorrow I really do not understand how any nurses work in this department it is so boring I often think im going to die.

Still of for a coffee then a cuddle with the little one, watch so tv togeather.

pasta bake for tea tonight, the teen just does not stop eatiing ( maybe he has worms)

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day x x

That sounds just like me, wish I could be transformed in Anthea Turner (wish I had her money too!!!)

Anyways, good for you Jinky, I know when I finally get round to doing some housework, it does feel good and I do prefer the house being clean and not a health hazard.
