I've fetched the nurse

I've already done all my work Just need to nip to the bank to pay a cheque in. Mr tru has taken a day off so we might wrap up (frosty here) and go to the forest for a picnic

We need to go to the saw mill for sawdust. And I need lots of cotton, I've designed a few things, went to sew them up and realised I have no cotton for the machine :rolleyes:

I've just smoked my last cig :eek: Let's see how much mr tru likes me by the end of the day

My cards are going well, the gardening is not :rolleyes: I need the frost to go away so I can get back out there.

Minted lamb and mash for tea today yum.

I have thick fog here!!:eek: and it only seems to be our little patch near the Thames (dont know about you churchie?) but when I took DS1 to work its clear and sunny just up the road

Halfterm for us too this week Pooky - but my kids still woke up at 6!:rolleyes: (must add a drop of whisky to their bedtime drinks tonite;) )

Need to get mince out the freezer for a shepherds pie later, but apart from that its a "go with the flow" day.

mioliere - yes mothers day is early! I gave my mum her flowers yesterday as she will be in Australia on Mothers Day.

WM is now on, DW is on too and so is the td. Eldest DD is tucked up in my bed!!!! Just got to put rubbish out and then go get something done now I've had my coffee. It's frosty here-hate driving in frost!!! I'm hoping the glorious sunshine will melt it quickly!!!
Tru, I stopped smoking at beginning of december and I was 'quite grizzly' for a time, but my OH and kids coped, you'll be fine- I was told I was only grizzly/mardy because when I used to smoke I used to go and have a cig when I got stressed and when you stop you have to find an alternative way of dealing with stress etc!!! hth

Morning all,

Half term here, so slept in till 8.30, bliss, DD has just got up, ans little dog is still in bed :rolleyes: its cold and frosty here again, but bright, don't think I have enough washing for a whole load, so will leave it till tomorrow.

DD and i will have a quick swipe round this morning, she needs to tidy her bedroom, then I think we will go to Matalan we both need new jeans, and there is a Lidl next door so may pop in there for a few bits.

We have the rest of yesterdays cold pork for dinner with mash and peas and pickles. Need to do an online shop as well.

Morning all - well where to start ...... dd18 and dgs3 are here. dd's bf left his phone behind yesterday and a woman texted him - seems they had a date last night. dd was upset and came here but the bf has her keys so now she can't get back in the house. Turns out that she's scared of him and worried about what he'll do to the house if she's not there. I wanted to call a locksmith out to change the locks but she didn't want to. While she was here her biological dad called her and she told him - i could hear him giving her lots of advice about domestic violence issues - well he should know. I am so upset - it's like history repeating itself. I can't beleive that this has happened to her when I thought I had brought them up to be wary of getting into the same mess that I did. The sound of his voice set me shaking. Don't know what's going to happen this morning but am taking a bit of a step back and doing whatever she wants but I feel so helpless. Her real dad couldn't get over last night but is going to stay with her for the next couple of nights - seems that even a mysoginsitic psycopathic thug has its uses

It is so frosty here but lovely and bright. On half-term here. Need to go food shopping, also fat cat needs to go to the vet for the follow-up on his dental treatment. Am taking DS to see a friend later.

Off to have a shower and hang the washing out. Hope my car starts!

smokey - hope everything continues to go well

Al the children are on half term now so spent yesterday washing and ironing their clothes so no last minute rush next weekend. DH is also on holiday this week and its also DD1's birthday on Thursday. She wants a movie themed evening so a popcorn box shaped cake is what i will spend wednesday afternoon making.

Taking some stuff to the dump today and hopefully having a bit of a clearout.

(((hugs))) to you and your DD stefejb. I have been there too. I was in a violent, abusive relationship for 10 years and I, like you , am striving to bring my girls up so that they don't make the same mistakes I did. Unfortunately there is only so much we can do. And if they do make the same mistakes at least we can be there for them (like you are for your DD). Take care, I hope you/she gets it sorted soon..

Tru, congratulations on becoming a non smoker.
No nursery today as DS1 has an ear infection so we're just continuing the half term here. He started trying to write his name for the first time yesterday so maybe we can play with the megasketcher some more. I got some great pictures of the characters in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yesterday!

Having a walk this morning for the first time since I fell. Looking forward to getting out of the house but it's quite icy out so not ideal!

Laundry needs to be caught up on and I want to look out some new recipes so that'll keep me occupied.
