Dissertation motivation!

Catseyez, this is late to be writing a dissertation?! I'm sure mines had to be in at April sometime... what you writing about? Whats the word limit/what you at?

I too am doing my dissertation. Today is the start of my interviews. I am so nervous!

Anyone studying over the summer? I've two assignments of 4,000 words to complete (both of which can be used for part of the background for my thesis), ideally by 1st September, though I may have to go for an extension on one.

My plan is to really focus over the next two weeks (before I go away for a week's holiday) and get the first one finished.

I've lots of literature on this and it is close to a previous topic, so not entirely new. However, I am working full time and have other home stuff to sort (including paperwork - aggh!) so I'll have to make a supreme effort to get it done.

It would be so nice to be able to relax a bit but I just can't do that. Anyone else in slogging away?

I'm doing my dissertation over the summer and trying to get a head start on some of my reading for next year's classes. I'm in the middle of transcribing interviews which is quite possibly the most tedious activity known to mankind.

I haven't got anything definite to do towards my dissertation over the summer but I do need to get down to reading, so I might be perusing this thread.

ive got a 15,000 word dissertation this year and cant seem to get the motivation to start it! need to push the problems out and get cracking as im sure the next eight weeks will fly by! il be a regular poster on this board for sure!!!

foxy, if you break it down into little chunks it makes it a lot easier to start So do a little bit of reading around at first, scribble down your initial ideas and thoughts, maybe browse the web for some inspiriation, and then once the ideas start flowing it gets a lot easier! I couldn't wait to start doing mine once I started thinking about what direction I wanted it to go because I got so many ideas I kept having to find scraps of paper to write stuff down.
