    I'm sorry, but I can't do that.

I see you are in the mattress industry.

Tell him that you will contact your landlord then.

Yes I am in the industry, and I am also a firefighter. First and foremost it is with my firefighters head on that I want you to get rid of it.

Not much help with the sheets but I washed my babys cloth nappies in soap nuts. So I would imagine it would be the same, in a way?

What I did was rince the nappies in a cold rince first and then washed them in a 60 with nappysan (sp) (if you wanted or stain remover) sometimes in the soap powder drawer, and a few drops of oil in the fabric cond drawer.

Also you could try putting a few table spoons on bio soap powder with the sheets with oils in fabric cond drawer and an extra rince at the end instead.

I would try the first one suggestion first see if that helps?

You could try adding soda crystals (cheap to buy; find them in the soap powder aisle in the supermarket) to the wash, maybe?

    Hi guys.
Long-time lurker here. I let my mate use my sofabed and he had an 'accident'. How best to sort?
I live on a narrowboat so no access to a vax or steam cleaner. Have a small handheld vacuum cleaner and the usual cleaning stuff.
What's best? Am thinking sponge off with warm soapy water and vinegar? Or should I be using bicarb somewhere?
PS he is very apologetic! :-)

An apology wouldn't cut it for me - I'd insist that he puts his money where his mouth is an replace it. Sitting / sleeping on a urine-ridden sofa bed is not my idea of fun.

    I agree.

It's what your 'mate' should be doing, not you!

  • I understand your sentiments but as I said my friend is very upset and I don't feel making him pay money he can ill-afford will make him feel any better. Any advice from parents of small children?
I would have thought they have some good methods.
Also replacement isn't very mse if a good clean will do!
