Anyone use a steam press for ironing?

For work suit trousers I put them on trouser hangers to dry from the washing machine - upside down, crease to crease. Once they are dry I iron them the same way - off the hanger obviously, still with the creases in the right place and then do both sides, and I mostly just need to to do the legs.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Oh dear, I've decided a steam press is going to be the answer to all my mountainous laundry problems and I'm saving for one! How do you find it fares with other types of clothes?0

I love mine sunday_girl, saves a lot of time. It takes a few goes to get used to though, but after 5 years there is no way I would go back to an iron. There is a whole thread on it somewhere on OS'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

They are really good for such as pillowcases and duvet covers. Anything yoiu can do flat like trousers and jeans.
The only problem I had with mine is the shaped work blouses as I always ended up wrinkling the fronts. I dare say it's patience.
But mine is slung in the spare bedroom as with 5 work blouses a week it got on my nerves.
Make sure you use the deionised water, else the lines will get clogged with calcium eventually.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
