Ha ha Larmy I've got you looking at buying cartridges, you are sharing my excitement!
I've had a look at the one i've bought off ebay (not here yet, just looking at the picture) and it does show a cartridge in the photo, however when i've gone online for info it doesnt say anything about replacement ones. I wonder if i've gone and bought an old model. The current page just says use distilled water in the boiling tank so I bet they have changed design.
Mine is a fast press one.0 -
hi guys i bought a tobi.. its not a steam press nor an iron its free standingwith a water holder in the bottom and best of all its portable so you can do curtains whilst they are hangingor bedding when its on the bed.you turn it on takes lees than 30 seconds for the steam to come, hang your clothes on the hangers and away you go. its fantastic quick easy to use takes up v little space....
when i first got it i had a play and then called my matewho sad to sat came running to see,she had a play and ended up doing all my ironing (4 huge piles must have been thigh high) in about 40 mins sad to say i am in her oh bad books as she ordered one from one of the shopping channels before she went home.......its so sad i hated ironing before but know i dont even class it as ironing and best of all my home no longer looks like a chinese laundry:D0 -

Hooray its here. Well it arrived about an hour a go but I spent the first twenty minutes just staring proudly at it lol!
Right then, review. This one is the dry press. The steam one I ordered for my mother hasnt arrived yet and I wish I'd ordered myself a steam one but anyway here goes.
I turned it onto quite hot but not its hottest setting and started doing kids t-shirts. They are sooo quick and easy to do. You just put them under the plate, shut it for a second and then do the bottom.. finished! Now dont get me wrong, the finish wasnt fantastic and I would have done better with my traditional iron however the time saving is massive and hey its just a t-shirt.
I the did a shirt. It pressed it well but not to my usual irons standards. However I didnt have the press on full and I didnt spray the shirt first as it suggests you do.
All in all I think i'm going to love it. I'm looking forward to testing the steam version. Remember also that my ironing has been shoved in a cupboard for ages so is bone dry. I bet its fab on freshly washed stuff!
Anyway cant stop... gotta do some ironing! :rotfl:0
