squish - yeah boys loved their parcel, thanks, i'll make sure they send off thank you letters:D
big prob at dh's work, the boiler in the still has broken down, new one needed, could take months to get it sorted as insurers will need to be involved, no idea what will happen to work in the meantime
everyone there said it needed replaced but as usual bosses decided money was best spent elsewhere!

Evening all,
smokey - I am thinking of you and your family, and praying for your DH to get better.
kyle - Hugs to you, hope things get sorted quickly.
I have been at work today and again tomorrow 8 til 6. OH and I have not bothered with Valentines as our anniversary is on March 9th.
Speaking of which - we have booked 5 days off and are planning to go the Isles of Scilly for a couple of days, and spend the rest of the time working on the house.
OR.....
We could spend that money on a brand new sink for the kitchen. Which to choose??????
I want both. I'm tempted to get a 0% credit card and pay it off next year, so that we can sort the kitchen (and possibly) living room out.
OH is working late tonight. So, I'm just tinkering with my meal plan etc and ignoring the pile of ironing that I can see out of the corner of my eye.
Hope you all had a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

Hi everyone. My eldest DD brought me breakfast in bed this am. This afternoon she announced she would do us a valentine meal for tonight. (OH was not taking me out tonight because I have been unwell past few days). So eldest DD made heart shape signs for the lounge door. made confetti to put on the white table cloth she put on the table, complete with bottle of wine, candles. Then she made home made pizza (pizza was heart shaped)and chips for OH and myself followed by jelly and icecream. When we got home prior to our meal she sent me up for a bath and OH and myself both made an effort and dressed as if we were going out etc. It was lovely. (my other DD missed it all unfortunately as she was in bed she is not well at all today, bless her) Both OH and myself were made to feel very special, she put so much effort into making it a lovely evening.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

The Tuankhamun exhibition was fantastic.
We went at 7p.m. and it was busy but if you took your time you could see things properly.
If you go do not buy the dvd for £25 as Amazon have it for about £9!!!!!!
I did not buy any souvenirs there either - went to British Museum the next day (free) and looked at the Egyptian rooms and then bought a small cat ornament for a fiver!!!!"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
