Happy Thursday/Valentine's Day to the rest of you. S0d the roses, I'll settle for someone who helps me with the housework and spoils me rotten 365 days a year. Going to a Valentine's do locally tonight, saves cooking and a group on so can have a Boogie/Bop or whatever. Will try to swop the free champagne for still wine as neither of us fond of bubbly.

Didn't wake up until 10.15am we were awoken around 6.30 pm with the wind moving the the table on the solarium, so DH went on in his + my DGowns to move it against the wall and put a sun lounger on it to stop the cover from flapping. Rarity was I managed to go back to sleep again and this was the result. Just having brekky. DH putting the flakes out as I type. S0ds law DS and mate coming out on Saturday and weather turns carp!

My 2 are out with their dad today, first time they have seen him since xma, and he is bringing them back early co he has a hire car that needs to be back by 5 - i dont mind, im happier when they are with me than him. He said he would help pay for DDs school trip, as he did DSs last year, but no money as yet - im sure he will see them around Easter, so hopefully he will let me have the money then, or i think everyone on here will hear me!!!

Have a few children here today, and really need to go to the post office to post a parcel - i dont really want to use the car, so although its cold, im hoping it will stay dry so that we can walk up there after lunch. If i do take the car, will prob go to the bank as i actually have some money to pay in!!! that makes a change, unfortunatly its already used, so at least i will be able to pay some bills before i get charges. It will be done tomorrow if we dont do it today.

I still have a box of ebay stuff next to me, but im hoping to get some photos taken in a bit, and then get it onto turbo lister - if i can get off here, and stay away from the comp board, i should get it done!

Right, before i plough on with the ebay stuff im going to have a cuppa and read what everyone has been up to today.

We don't really do Valentine's either, but OH bought me chocolates which was sweet of him - he will find his rucksack full of love hearts when he gets to work. I get home early today as teaching finishes at 5 pm (or 5.30pm if they don't finish) so it will be nice. have a good day, cel x

we just exchanged cards for valentines day not really into getting each other presents too tight! felt a bit sorry for DD15 as last year she got spoilt by her then boyfriend and another card from another boy but nothing this year for her I think she was remembering it all earlier today still I am glad she has not got a serious BF anymore she is too young

:hello: I don't usually get time to catch up with the daily, but its a weird day today. OH is at home as I had to drop my car off for an MOT then he was going to take me to work, but I have a really bad chest (my office is so cold) that I'm coughing til I'm sick (sorry TMI), so I'm at hom ein bed now with OH working downstairs. This is our second valentines day - our first living together - so he's taking me out to dinner tonight (fourth choice as he left it so late :rolleyes:) and I've bought a card and a little pressie for the both of us from Ann Summers :rotfl: I've dropped hints that I'd love some roses, but he won't get a chance to buy any now with me here so who knows

Happy Thursday to anyone thats not celebrating (I make the most of any day like this!)

Hope your all having a lovely day, no cards here as me and dh dont belive in it, why spend money just to stick them on the side then bin them in a few days, i got a full on kiss before he went to work instead of the normal peck on the cheek so that will do for me!!!!!LOL

Off into school later to read to some of the kids that are struggling or that dont get read to at home, im really enjoying helping out at school and hope to further it more after half term.

Got lots to do tonight as have to empty the bedroom ready for the plasters coming tommorow, dont know where im going to put everything, think the kids bedrooms will have to turn into storage rooms for a few days, need to collect a snooker table aswell from freecycle for the kids, it is almost a full sized one but we will be using outside in the summer only as have no room indoors for it, but the kids are very excited about it!!
It was offered to me by a lovely chap i got some curtains from last year through freecycle, he emailed me before offering it on the website as he remembered me saying i had 4 kids, bless him.

Right off to get something do

Me and OH didn't bother with Valentines either, he got in at 7pm last night and he's all "oh i need to go out" , wouldn't tell me why and eventually admitted he'd forgotton to get me anything for V-day, to which i also admitted that i'd totally forgot about it too lol so we agreed to leave it. I'm not over keen anyway, i know he loves me and he shows it everyday, no need for one day to be special just because Hallmark says so lol

He's up working at the house again today, they're removing the asbestos from the kitchen :eek: Then he said he'll take DD to dancing tonight whilst i do tea. We're having sausage casserole but i just fancy a Big Mac Oh well, maybe another day.

I went to pick up a baby gym from someone last night, they were selling it on Gumtree. Its an ELC lavender lamb one, rrp £35 but cost me £15 and its brand new in its bag so very chuffed with that We also got the Chicco rocker from Boots because they had it down to £32 (£50 in Mothercare) and we had a £10 gift card from xmas so only cost £22. I'm getting things together gradually rather than having to do a huge shop for baby things at the end. Like i said before, i'm only buying from ebay/loot/gumtree or new if i can get it cheaper than the RRP.

Just got back from London with DD late last night.

Had a great time - saw the Tutankhamun exhibit - the British Museum- Westminster and had a river trip to Greenwich!

Also had a trip round Harrods and treated DD(14) to a couple of nice meals out.

DD is now upstairs with a mug of hot chocolate and writing an English essay!

Window cleaners have been and washing machine is on . I have cleaned the hob and done the dishes.

Now have a pot of tea beside me and feel I am home!

Might make home made rolls later and get veg for soup.


Just found out I have won £50 in premium bonds!!!:j
