Amie, we crossed. Good luck with the weigh-in. I had my first this week and lost4 lbs
Scuzz, I'm sure someone special is out there for you and maybe next year there will be 10,000 red roses and a card
Not bothered with Valentines Day here either, we've been married for over 30 years and don't needs cards and flowers, I might make him a sponge pudding and custard instead
Ebay pack and wrap today, and some more listing later.
Hope all you romantics have a lovely day :smileyhea xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
morning all,
Happy valentines day to you all, I have not had anything from OH yet, but I hope to get some flowers later, I have hinted, but he is probably the most unromantic bloke in the world, so fingers crossed for later.
Off to w**k today, and got a sainsbugs delivery coming tonight, lets hope they are late again and give me a voucher
Will have a quick swipe around this morning, and we have something and chips for tea, not sure what yet will go and have a rummage in a while.
Smokeybabe, I have just read the rest of yesterdays thread, what a terrible time for you all, I will keep you in my thoughts, hope all goes well xxx
Have good days all xx0 -
Good morning everyone
Seems a shame not to use some of these special smilies even though I don't really do valentines::kisses3:
:kisses3:
My valentines treat for DH will be making a meal without using my new SC. After the (flukey) success of boiled ham on Monday, the spag bol on Tuesday was way too watery and my chicken casserole last night was bordering on inedible (I crushed garlic into the pot without frying first and threw a slug of wine in for good measure - it tasted of vinegar and raw garlic  )
I think I'll make chicken and chips tonight instead...
I'm off to look at a website I haven't seen before www.frugal.org.uk and then will potter around maybe clearing some clutter. As I'm almost fully recovered from last week's surgery, I want to make the most of being off w**k for the rest of this week.
Have a good day all :happyhear

Good morning everyone!
I'm a bit delayed this morning - DH was using my computer last night, and I came down to find that he'd changed the screen to portrait (from the usula landscape). So my touchpad wouldn't work either. Got it sorted now, but will ask him to use his own laptop in future.
I'm off to visit a friend today. I'm taking lunch, so have made soup, the bread was made last night, so I'm going to make some mice and hedgehog rolls, and some muffins. DS would like a rucksac for his birthday later this month, so we're going to a big outdoor shop to see what they have.
Smoky - hugs for you
Catowen and stefejb - Happy Thursday!

Morning all
Smokeybabe - Just caught up with yesterdays thread - so sorry to hear your news - hope DH starts to improve soon. Hugs to you and your little ones - you know where we all are if you want a rant.
News like that makes you realise that a card doesn't even come close to saying how much someone means to you doesn't it.
We're another lot that don't do valentines day, DH tells me everyday how much he loves me (and not always when he's in an arm lock) and I can't stand roses - I much prefer to see flowers outside where they belong -
romantic - me? pah!!
DD's both got cards and teddies this morning from my friends sons, so they've gone off to school happy, DD2 has her first valentines disco tonight at school, I said I'd like to go for a bit of a boogie but I got one of those "oooohhhh mum" looks. :rotfl:
Had a letter from the CSA yesterday to say that Ex doesn't need to pay anything futher towards DDs as he's now living with someone with 3 kids and his responsibility has to be them.......not quite sure why his own children don't count.......but hey ho....leaves us in a bit of a sticky money problem but I'm sure we'll cope.
Roasted veg soup for tea with HM rolls, followed by yet another tray bake I made yesterday - my lot aren't really cake eaters but they wolfed down the last one in 2 days!!! Made this one with yellow icing - DH said it tasted wrong as he was expecting it to taste of custard!

Good morning all,
Just caught up with the rest of yesterdays thread Smoky-am thinking of you and (((((hugs)))))).
Don't have a clue whats for dinner tonight at the moment, need to get the boys to school and then hopefully make a granary loaf still debating whether to do it by hand (read kenwood for kneading) or to do the dough in bm and then finish by hand and bake in oven. My bm is not too good on nice light loaves its a very old one which my husband bought for me about 10 years ago:eek: Cant realy justify buying a new one cos this one still works and makes excellent raisin bread and knocks up a batch of dough brilliantly.
Anyway, enough waffle from me, got to get the boys to school

Good Morning All
((((Smokeybabe))))
No sun here today yet - hopefully it will come.
Didnt finish the ironing yesterday so will jump in the shower in a mo and will start it again - appear to have run out of hangers so need to have a quick sort out too.
Dont do Valentines here either, havnt even got a nice meal planned - will probably have a fry up but everyone loves it. I will get back on the healthy eating next week, I find it really hard when everyone is at home.
Off now for a surf.
Have a great day.
