I am another singly who isn't expecting anything.

Smokeybabe, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Hugs to those in need although I expect there are lots of them being given today anyway.

Am at work so its just a quick post, will pop back later to see what's going on.

Good morning everyone,

Smokybabe, I'm hoping and praying that your OH is getting better.

I've had a poorly small boy for another week, nothing specific, just a high temp, miserable and not eating, so probably just a virus. On top of his vomiting bug the weekend before, it's all been a bit tiring though. Hopefully he's better now, as we had our first good night's sleep in ages last night.

We had our valentine dinner last night as I go to Slimming World on a Wednesday night and we have dinner late when I get back. An ideal chance to have a romantic dinner without a small person "helping". Technically, our dinner was free as I bought Beef Wellington ready made from M&S with vouchers I was given before Christmas from work. We had an Irish coffee after dinner, yum yum.

I made Mr Cranky a bacon and egg toastie this morning and let him have a lie in. Not very romantic, but well appreciated by him!

Morning all.........................((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if you need one.....Smoky I am thinking of you, so sorry to hear the news......................

We have never celebrated Valentines Day, its an excuse for shops to raise their prices and the biggest rip off imaginable............sorry I just do not find it romantic at all.............what is romantic is my OH bringing me a cuppa each morning before I get up, often in the summer with a single flower in a tiny vase I have.

Nasty dull morning, we have to have a trip to Argos, I have a pair of earphone so I can listen to videos on my computer whilst OH watches TV, can I find them..................No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they have disappeared into thin air. I have a feeling that they may have gone under the settee and its so heavy we cannot move it, so I have ordered another set from Argos, so have to collect them.

Have not read the thread yet...............will do so after I have posted this..........

Morning all.. Sorry to hear ur news smokybabe...

Posting MUCH later today... I called in sick today for the first time in a year. I feel so rough, all coldy (is that a word?!) and bad sore throat so staying at home feeling sorry for myself.

Made DH a card.. he was told not to buy me anything (spent £50 on roses last year) his ideas are just TOO expensive. I was going to make him a lovely heart shaped chocolate cake but he's got the dentist later so probs wont be able to eat it so I'm going to put that on hold until we're both feeling better.

Will no doubt be 'hanging about' on here today.

Happy Valentines day to those who celebrate it!
Scuzz - my dd hates it too (calls it the devils day!:eek::rotfl: ) and is coming home to be spoilt by us (and attend hospital appointment) OH has bought us some chocs and I have made him his fav trifle, he got a hm card from me and went and spent far too much on a bought one for me:o ! We will be having a takeaway tonight and forgetting about mse for a while.

Old style wise we have 4 eggs that have to be used up now so I think I will make a choccie cake (dd's fav) and some blueberry muffins. I am also going to have a go at the malt loaf recipe in the panasonic bm booklet as I have all the ingredients in the cupboard.

Morning Everyone and Happy Valentines Day

Hope you are all well. Nothing much planned today expect work and its freezing, they didnt even think to put the heater on in my office:mad: :mad: .

I didnt get a Valentines card from DH today although, I did get a Willow Tree ornament.

Not planning anything romantic today at all. Dh was out at the pub last night watching the football, and this morning had the mother of all hangovers (so he says:p ), so, he will be off to bed early tonight.

Taking DS to speech therapy later, then he is off to his wee club, and that is as exciting as my day goes.

As Pink said last night it has been a dreadful year for you and OH and you have been unbelievably strong. I'm so dreadfully sorry that he is now so unwell and I will be thinking of you all.
Please take extra good care of yourself. You have been greatly missed on the Daily.
