    Happy Valentines to you all!

We were woken up by the girls this morning with breakfast in bed!;) They brought us toast and orange juice in bed with hm valentine cards...:D What a lovely surprise it was.
We exchanged out very frugal gifts. The girls got 99p TY pink fluffy cats and a bar of Hershy chocolate (19p) each and DH got his reduced card (29p) and a small box of chocs (99p)! :rotfl: I always look out for bargains all year round and stash them away. DH bought me some lovely Polish chocs from his trip away and he's making bacon and croissants in the kitchen for lunch.
If the weather stays ok we're all off for a bike ride before we stuff our faces with all of the chocolate! :rotfl:

I've done some washing and ironing and I'm going to start sorting out the rooms for our weekend visitors who arrive tomorrow They are all coming up for DH's party on Saturday. I need to make a big pot of veg spag bol for tomorrow's tea, as I won't have time tomorrow and we're going to have nachos and chilli with rice for tea.
    Have a good day everyone!

    Hi all.
Just caught up with thread..............huge hugs smokeybabe(((((:o )))))) I do hope things improve.Take care.

Had a morning decanting cheap bubble bath into wine bottles for christmas/birthday pressies............find till I got to a smaller bottle and my funnel was too big............nearly had a bubble bath myself...........cleaned the kitchen table though and once one bit was done it showed the rest up...........ugggh !!
OH has gone to measure up a pine dresser his boss is getting rid of at bargain price (not sure what his version of bargain is though). He measured door sizes to make sure it will go in but haven't heard anything since then so I expect it'll be too big. And there was me getting all into de-clutering mode having first rate excuseto clear the painted one we've got.............lol
Oh well, can't win em all:confused:

Need to sort out whether to switch power supplier or not..........got totally mind boggled yesterday by all the comparison sites.........thought best give my little brain a rest for a bit.

Hope you all have a great day and hugs ((((((((((((:o ))))))))) to all those who need them

Hugs to all who are having a bad day - including dd11. She got a headteacher's award which included a gold sticker. A little boy at afterschool got hold of it and stuck it on himself and then screwed it up. She doesn't want me to make a fuss but was in absolute tears so I will phone the school tomorrow and see if she can have another sticker as she wanted it for her scrapbook.

Plans for an early finish at w*rk came to nothing and I ended up cycling my normal sedate 20 min journey in about half that time to get to afterschool in time

Elona - was the Tut exhibition good - I really want to take dd but the crowds put me off a bit - is there a good time to go do you think (well done on the win btw)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Hello all :hello:

smokybabe - I am really, really sorry for what you and your family are going through at the moment. I will keep praying for your OH's recovery. Stay strong - but if you want an outlet you know where we all are :grouphug:

Happy Valentine's Day to all who are celebrating and to all who aren't ;) I've had a card from the very sweet elderly friend who I met at the theatre once and who's had a bit of a "thing" for me ever since (awww). He's sent me a Valentine's card every year since :) Which is nice cos nobody else is sending me any :rotfl:

My colleague came into the office this morning with a big sparkly rock on her finger, having been proposed to over breakfast... It's about time too, they have been together 12 years (since she was 15 - he's quite a bit older) and have a six year old daughter together. She always said getting married was a waste of time, but funnily enough now he's asked she's decided maybe it isn't :D

I'm knackered this evening. I made a deal with my boss - if I get into the office early, I get to have a long enough lunchbreak to go to the gym. It works on all levels because I makes my morning journey easier and quicker, stops me wasting my lunchbreak faffing about, wakes me up for the afternoon (when I normally get lethargic) and means I get to go straight home after work without needing to think about going to the gym. This lunchtime I did a Body Attack class (which is like aerobics only quite high-impact and based on simple moves rather than anything complicated) and now I'm shattered :o So it's an evening in front of the telly for me!

Hugs to anybody who needs one

    Love Rzl xx

    Hello everyone,

Lots of *hugs* to smokybabe - thinking of you and your family.

Happy Valentines day to everyone :) I got a lovely card this morning, and had my tea in town (late night shopping night!) which was a real treat :D Trying now not to think of the chocolates downstairs but I'm being good :A

Rather a slow day today, so am really glad its friday tomorrow so almost the weekend, plus I finish work a little earlier on a friday which is good. I'm meant to be meeting up with a friend on saturday so hopefully will hear from her soon to finalise times etc. Also want to get some more clearing out done at some point - trying the 'little and often' route :p

Kyle - hope ds1 isn't going to start having a bad time at school :( Did the boys get their valentines parcel? i hope they liked it :D

*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please...
