They are pretty good I must admit..
i'm shocked at how motivated I now feel.. I guess depression is a viscious circle of low motivation, self esteem, etc etc.. and you start to think it is just you and no-one can help... so, i'm pleased these have started working. Aparently can take up to 8 weeks aswell, so more happiness to come! :T
Do you have to work weekends? I still can't guess your name!BSC Member 155

The job thing is really starting to get to me the closer it gets. I really need to pull my socks up. I've made a note of your post and will look it up tomorrow. Eyes are starting to drop.
I'll look forward to speaking to you tomorrow, I hope you enjoy your film.
I work in social care and my shifts are 24/7 - I worked from 4pm - 10pm yesterday then had to be back there at 7.15am until 6.15pm. I have a 45min bus ride home - and in the evening it's only once an hour and goes all round the villages - so I got home about 11pm and got up again at 5.30 - so got about 5 hours sleep which is gruelling! Day off tomorrow - then on Sunday I start at 6pm and work until 12.30 on Monday (sleep-in means snoozing with ears open to any movement in the building).
Today I heard about an opportunity to apply for a temporary promotion - and was filled with all that familiar insecurity and resistance to pushing myself forward at bit.
So application forms, CVs, interviews and maybe presentations ahead for me too!
The film was The Queen which was quite absorbing - I get two DVDs a month for £4.99 from LoveFilm. I was wondering about cancelling it, but then realised that really £1.25 a week is not much to spend on entertainment and I find it really relaxing when I am knackered after a long shift and just want to veg out.
Foodwise - my tea was a couple of handfuls of salted peanuts (they're a cheap source of protein) and a mug of hot chocolate. OK - I confess I had a cream egg on the bus home tonight!
Keep up the good work - baby steps as someone has said. You have a lot of good tools in place already - gym, walking, pub, football, messaging, humour and the CV workshop will be 3 hours well-spent I reckon. Good for you. I'm not sure how old you are, but I was going to suggest seeing what your local Connexions office had on offer - there is some good stuff available for young people if you know how to tap into it. :TDebt free by 22 January 2009 - thanks to an unexpected inheritance - take heart - it DOES HAPPEN!0 -
Hi Art - Sorry I didn't get onto the computer yesterday. Have just read through your thread though and looks like you have already made a lovely bunch of friends here.

Crikey. Thats some mad hours you work. Do you get allot out of your job? satisfaction and that? I was offered a reolocation package but I don't love my job enough to move. I think you know thats the time to move on.
i used to be with lovefilm, i think that its a good service really but I ran out of good films to watch, which I guess isn't there fault.
The CV workshop was actually really good. I have a few more sessions soon which I'm quite looking forward to.
