Hi artnoble. I just wanted to say that I was feeling quite wretched a few weeks ago, but this site has helped so much. I was like you in that I would wake up, feel okay, then as the day wore on started to feel really down.
However, by going out for walks with my dog, popping on the kettle and reading these forums, taking time out to read a book or watch something on the telly, just generally taking each day as it comes and realising that you can get through it and it's not so bad after all, I am feeling much more positive.
Another idea is to write a list of all the positives and negatives in your life. I bet if you do this you will find the positive list is longer!
I hope you feel better soon x*Official DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 147**Official DFW Nerd Club Member No 923*I have no idea what I'm talking about!0 -
Oh yes, the garden is looking better already!
Let's just say I havn't got the greenest of fingers and so all I have done for the last 2 days is chop stuff down! got 6 bags of leaves and twigs etc etc.. but so much more to do..
& yeah, you saved loads of money today!
Money saving idea! Go to local florist and get some roses... and then walk around the town centre this evening and sell them for £3 each! :T or whatever they cost you plus £2..BSC Member 155

morning and good to see you feel a bit brighter. t may be that if you have suffered alot of losses recently that bereavement councelling may help...try here

they're great in my experience. Re your GP you just make an appoinmet ad tell him/her how you're feeling and they will be able to help you. Sometimes its just talking that helps, sometimes they prescribe antidepressants to get you over the worst and other times counelling may be a good idea - just depends on your circumstances but you dont need to suffer alone - there are lots of people who understand. Big hugs for you esp today as if you feel alone its especially hard today...money isnt the solution and neither is a good woman! I would focus on getting yourself happy for now and see what turns up for you! Much better that than wishing for thins you havent got! A hobby would be a good idea - what about sports etc - proven to hep with depression and a good way of meeting people?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
