Julia welcome and ignore the green one- she just gets a bit precious about being on the top of the page (I have set my default as having last post first so on my PC it runs bottom to top- but I'm not going to tell her)
I'm sure MRSM will be along shortly with a fabulous dinner party menu all for €3.50 :rotfl:
Anyway, I've not been terrible but not great and not healthy- you know the kind of thing 2 iced buns a magnum and a bottle of red and no real food:o
And today my boss just took me to lunch, and service was so bad free drinks arrived  anyway back on the straight and narrow as of now 16.20pm:D
I have a wetsuit date in a couple of weeks and must behave.
Wishing you all a lovely week xx0 -
Hi All,
Congratulations on the weight losses ME, Lainz, Toni and Jlyncsfand welcome Juliav.
I've had another long walk today - around 10 miles I think - and was out for 3 and a half hours. I also had a walk into town to go to the Post Office and bank so have done around 28,000 steps. On getting home I had a long soak in the bath and washed my hair.
I've just sold another series of 10 articles so am feeling pleased with myself. I write a weekly column for a financial website (not this one) and selling another series keeps me going for another 10 weeks, which is good news. I wrote this week's last night so didn't have to get up early today as I usually do on a Monday.
I am now sitting in my dressing gown as I haven't been long out of the bath so really ought to move myself and go and get dressed again and dry my hair.
I've been fairly good foodwise so far but haven't yet decided what to cook for this evening's meal so had better get my thinking cap on.
B: Fruit and fibre mixed with muesli, skimmed milk and raisins. Cranberry and rasberry juice.
L: Seedy wrap filled with ham, HM coleslaw, tomatoes and cucumber. Banana sliced in a dish and served with a drizzle of cream. (I bought some cream for DS coming round yesterday for his strawberries and was tempted by the leftovers!).Lamb leg steaks, new potatoes, peas, cabbage, roasted butternut squash and sweet potato. Fruits of the Forest yoghurt (frozen).
Snack: Orange
Keep up the good work everyone.

Hello folks:hello:
Well done the losers :T :T :T
Welcome to the newbies
Well, so much for a relaxing day off!! I've cleaned the house from top to bottomI did sit down for an hour at lunchtime to watch 'Loose women' while I had my lunch though....
Weetabix, yoghurt and brries for brekkie, the last of the bean and quinoa salad for lunch, fruit this afternoon and quorn sausage, SW wedges and veg for tea.
Caterina - I love making curtains and blinds, I only have one pair of ready-mades in the house and they were a bargain reduced from £60 to £20.
Put me in a fabric shop and I'm like a kid in a sweetshop :j
I can second what you say about never being hungry on Slimming World, I have a HUGE appetite, I'm never hungry and I'm still losing weight :T :T
Off to make the tea now, see you later :A0 -
Julia V - here's what I would do:
Starter: Potato rosti - dead easy, peel and part boil your pots, then let them cool before grating into a bowl with plenty of seasoning (chopped spring onion goes nicely too), the cooled, grated potato goes sticky so shape into patties with wet hands then fry (use fry light or similar) on both sides until golden. Set aside until 15 mins before you want to eat them and then pop them in the oven to heat through and crisp up (if you make too many, freeze them after you have browned them). Serve with a few green leaves and a dollop of tomato chutney or such like.
Main: Honey mustard Chicken with rice and steamed veg - This will serve 4
60 g. of rice per person, uncooked weight (I like the basmati/wild rice mix, it
looks nicer!)
Honey & mustard chicken
4 small chicken fillets
8 tsp of honey
8 tsp of mustard
4 tbsp of soy or tamari sauce
Cut scores through the chicken fillet but do not cut right through.
Mix the honey, mustard and soy sauce together and use to coat the chicken fillet. Set aside for 30 minutes, or up to an hour if possible. Preheat oven to 220 degrees.
Bake the chicken fillet sfor 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness, until cooked through and no longer pink in the middle.
Serve with your choice of steamed vegetables.
Pud - Summer Pudding (I hardly use any sugar and buy frozen fruit which is cheaper, its also a good way of using up stale bread.)
Line a pudding bowl with clingfilm, allowing for plenty of overhang
Place a bag of frozen summer fruits in a saucepan with a good splash of blackcurrant squash (you may want to add water too, too create enough juice) and sugar to taste (I tend to wait until the fruit is heated through then add sugar gradually and keep tasting, sometimes I don't bother with sugar at all.) Simmer fruit for a few mins then allow to cool. Cut a piece of bread (remove crusts) to fit the bottom of the pudding bowl, dip it in the juices of the fruit then place it in the bowl and top with a layer of fruit, continue layering bread and fruit in this way, always dipping the bread in juice first. Finish with a layer of bread, then fold the clingfilm over the top and place a plate on top, weighed down with a tin. Pop in fridge for a good few hours and when ready to serve, peel clingfilm back and turn out onto a plate. Serve with low fat creme fraiche and any leftover juices.
Simple, not too costly and pretty healthy all in all! Oh yes, the pud works with brown bread too.
Hope this helps a little:D0 -
Sorry I couldn't be more specific with amount, weights etc, but I usually wing it. With the pud, don't worry about cooking up too much fruit as you can always make two puds and freeze one. Or I save yoghurt pots and make little individual ones for the freezer that I can take out when I feel I need a pudding and don't want to be naughty! Better to have too much fruit than not enough!0

You know, we're all so careful planning what we're going to eat, but I'm plainly not the only one who raids the fridge when she's bored. I reckon it's equally important to plan the day's activities to make sure I'm so busy that I don't have time to think about food!
The last few weeks have been a whirl, leading up to DD2's wedding last Saturday (which went brilliantly:j ), but now I think I'll need to be very careful to fill my days from now on.If we are supposed to be thin, why does chocolate exist?0 -
