    Morning all,

Not got much planned today so just pottering around the house cleaning up and tidying. Can't do any more cooking as the freezer is fit to burst!

B: Porridge made with water and a banana
L: Mixed salad and a pitta
D: Chick pea curry with brown rice
S: Not sure yet, maybe a Tunnocks wafer if I want one

We had a birthday party on Friday, but I was very good & had two little pieces of spinach quiche, a small triangle of brown bread tuna & cue, a couple of cheese cubes with grapes & pineapple & ikkle bitta cake:p I'm very disappointed with the photos they took tho....I look bigger than ever! Having said that, the skirt & top I was wearing were a good deal looser than previous occasions so perhaps I should have looked at my wardrobe choices a little closer:o But I totally refuse to buy anything other than absolute necessities till my blubber is well & truly busted:mad:

I was a picker all day yesterday, primarily down to the fact the door of the smallest I]thank the stars![/I freezer had been left slightly ajar a good few hours, so we rescued &/or cooked what we could so had little to throw out. Luckily it has been a few bits of chicken, some fish & sausages......& smallish a fruit pie.

Perhaps I should get a chicken to cook & keep in the fridge JUST to pick at:rolleyes: I've always felt guilty before cuz it make a meal.

Well Done to the vocalists; Break a Leg to the Auditioners; Happy Weeding to the Percy Throwers; The Wind in Your Back to the Athletes; Woof-woof-pant to the Doggie Peeps; Splish Splash to the Wet Ones.........me? I'm off for 40 winks:p

    Afternoon all

Just thought i'd pop by....not much happening today is there

Went outside at 8am this morning checking my veggies hadn't drowned with the last 2 days of torrential bloomin rain...hubby had to punch more holes in some troughs  ..but it looks like the only thing that might suffer are the blessed cumbers.... everything else seems to have quite enjoyed it.... so sat on the step filling the buckets and planting the last of the tomatoes out... got very cold..where you don't want too  .. so had to have a bath to help me defrost and recover :rotfl:

    meals today...
    1. brekkie -missed it as i was busy..oooops :o
    2. lunch -just had jacket potato, cottage cheese and salad
    3. dinner -i have made a tuna pasta salad.. but now think i might have my juice i missed at brekkie instead ;) nomnomnom
    4. snackies... either fruit or yogurt
Have enough fruit to last me most of this week I think :T although may need a salad top up mid week... I feel a little strange today but can't quite put my finger on what it is  I have a feeling it may have been yesterdays dinner.. the white flour naan bread  is probably to blame... so i won't do that again in a hurry... if i feel ok in the morning then i know that is what it is ;)

I don't like grapes frozen  ... although i am partial to grapes in general.. they are 99c about 75p a kilo at the moment and very sweet -I prefer black -plus they have more Iron..but at the moment they only have green/white in ALDI and im not paying twice as much else where :rotfl:
Toniwotty congratulations on the dress :T I do hope we get a piccie from your wedding day.. you can always cut your head off if you are bothered about folks recognising you :p

right im gonna get off ..motoGP on soon which is a cue for me to lie on the sofa and fall asleep :p
have a great day everyone :D

  • Hello everyone - hope you are all having a good Sunday. Rockie - that lasagne sounds lovely - I love lasagne but usually make it the traditional way with mince and cheese sauce (so v. fattening) so that sounds like a nice alternative and I do like butternut squash and red onion.

Caterina, I had forgotten about the frozen grapes and will defo do some next time I buy grapes - it will help with waste too as I always seem to throw half the bunch out because they have gone soft - same with bananas so will freeze them too!

Superspam - what's all this about an X-factor audition? Please post back and let us know how you got on! how exciting! I can't sing a note so am very envious of those who can sing.

Purpleivy - glad the performance went well and that you managed to do the choreography okay!

    Well done floyd and Saversarn!

Jo Jo - I will look out for the lollies in Aldi.

Toni - great news about the wedding dress! When I got married (a loooong time ago) I had it fitted and then stress ate for the 6 weeks before the wedding and my Mum had to sew two inserts in the side of the waist because I couldn't get it done up otherwise! (just shows the marriage was doomed from the start;) )

Taplady - hope things are back to normal with OH

Mrs M - the naan sounds yummy - I might have a go at it because the kids love naan with curry.

nix - I just don't like Quinoa its yuck, but I do like the yoghurt coated brazils from Julian Graves:o

hope you are all enjoying the weekend and hello to Frogga, Marie, KM, 10past6, Catz, cheerfulness, Sunnyday and anyone else I have forgotten!

    Hi All,

It seems very quiet on here today. Congratulations to anyone losing weight that I didn't manage to congratulate yesterday - not sure if anyone posted after I had or not now.

It's been quiet here today too. OH and I did go out for a walk earlier. We walked up to the local country show but the highish entry price put us off as we were in two minds whether to look round in the first place. Instead we walked through the woods. The sun came out whilst we were out and it actually felt quite warm.

DS and DIL2B are due round for a meal later so I might whip up a few scones later. I am fine with having them in the house once they are cooked but can't resist the raw mixture so shall have to be very restrained if I do.

B: Fruit and fibre mixed with muesli, raisins and skimmed milk. Raspberry and cranberry juice.
L: Seedy wrap with HM coleslaw, tomatoes, cucumber and tiny piece from OH's slice of ham. Stewed rhubarb with spoonful of Greek yoghurt - I tried stirring in a spoonful of muesli too to see whether it would make a good breakfast.
D: Grilled haddock in breadcrumbs, new potatoes, peas, cauliflower cheese and roasted butternut squash and sweet potato. Strawberries to follow (with cream for anyone who wants it but I'm training myself to enjoy them without).
    Snack: Orange

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone,

    Rose

    Evening all,

Sun just coming out here now, was cold early on but no rain at all, clothes lines are full and more on the way out there.

OH and I met a friend for breakfast this morning...not a great breakfast, buffet style which was cold...I had 1 slice brown bread, 1 rasher, one piece each black and white pudding, fried egg and mushrooms with a cappuccino...have had one slice of bread and chocolate spread since, going to have pasta soon, but don't really feel hungry yet so will wait a bit.

Well done to all of you who are losing, and eating reasonably

Well, we had a quiz evening last night and I didn't hog all the calorie-laden goodies, nor drink calorie loaded drinks.
Quietly ate the salad of the ploughman's, not too much cheese and not too much bread and butter.
I had eaten a banana before we went as the ploughman's is served at 9.15pm, which is a little late for a meal. I found I was OK with this and this morning I was 16st 11lb which is 1 lb loss.
I have certainly been careful this last few days and it seems to have paid off. I am still eating healthily but trying to cut down overall.
I am pleased that the small changes have made a difference, even though a pound is small it is a loss.
As an oldie with limited mobility I always knew it would be slow, but it is coming off, so thanks for being my virtual encouragers,, thank you.

    Evening folks:hello:

I've had a really busy day, made a blind for the back bedroom window and matching curtains to cover up the shelving units, put my hanging baskets and window box out, cleared up the back yard and tidied up the wreckage in the house :D

Boiled eggs and soldiers for brekkie, bean and quinoa salad for lunch, fruit this afternoon while I watched the Manchester run on the telly (didn't spot my friend)

I'm going to have quorn chilli and lime dippers and a salad for my tea and then watch Indina Jones :D Harrison Ford really does it for me :D

I've got the day off tomorrow :D so a bit of a lie in then off to the lotty to do some weeding

    See you tomorrow folks :A
