Hello again everyone - well done Saversarn on your 2lb loss - there have been some brilliant losses this week!
Welcome back Caterina - your menus always sound really appetising - I may try the pasta and salmon one, - DD2 LOVES salmon.
I am perservering with the eating every 2 hours ish. Today I have had:
Breakfast - small bowl of porridge made with soya milk
snack - 2 thin slices of toast with marmite
lunch - piece of french bread with salad, ham, bit of chicken and coleslaw and a packet of paprika crisps (not really the healthiest but today I am focusing on not bingeing after yesterday), apple and drink of water
snack - cup of mint tea with a very small serving of hm popcorn
Dinner is likely to be either steak and salad, or hm spanish omelette and brocolli - I think I would prefer the omelette TBH, but the steak does need eating - might give it to DD's on baguettes with salad.
Snack - banana and some sugar free jelly.
I have no binge food or other sweet/stodgy food in the house, which I think I will have to keep doing in order not to be tempted. DD's will just have to go to the shop and buy sweets if they really want them, but they don't really need them either, and there is plenty of fruit in, plus lots of yoghurts.
One of my very favourite things is ice cream, but it is sooooo fattening and I was wondering if any of you had those ice cream makers that you freeze the bowl in the freezer and then churn your own stuff? They had them in Costco last week for £24 and it occured to me that I could try and churn some nice Yeo valley or Onken yoghurt - I've tried freezing it "straight" as it were but it just went like a block of ice and when it softened it wasn't nice at all. Anyone know if it would work?Jane

Hi everyone, well done Saversarn! Didn't post yesterday as spent most of the day getting ready for my DATE! Which went....erm, ok. Spent a couple of hours having a coffee and a chat, but it's been so long since I had a date it all felt decidedly weird. Actually wore jeans and a nice top, felt quite good - tho my magic pants probably helped! Anyway, I stuck to my eating plan. Weigh in on Monday, so will post again then. Am out tonight - a friend is having a birthday meal and some drinks, but I won't overindulge! Have a good weekend everyone, see you Monday.0

Good day for me so far - weetabix for brekkie because couldn't be bothered making porridge, wholemeal pitta with boiled egg and cucumber, I forgotted I haz tomatoes, and I've just driven into town
(I don't walk ANYWHERE! lazy moo!) and Julian Graves was having one of it's half price doodhas so bought some more quinoa and various healthy bits and bobs so it'll be quinoa salad again for dinner. Still debating what to do with the tofu I've got in the freezer, anyone got any tasty suggestions??
FROOOOOOGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Are you missing Meester Frogga?? I think I have found him!
You said he was 'andsome!!!!!
I also went in to Marksies and in between hissing through my teeth at the price of stuff in there I picked up two REDUCED packs of primo incredibly posh sausage rolls for the Nipper's dinners. Got back in the house and thought d'yano I might have one of those sausage rolls being rather partial to pastry as I am, checked the packet and there is nearly 500 calories in one sausage roll!!!! And its not even a huge one! Really glad I've started reading labels, its shocking once you do.
Big claps for Floyd and a massive wooooooooooot for Saversarn - dang woman, you're gonna look hot in that wetsuit - until you get the snorkel and flippers on that is
Have a belting evening ladies (and any gents lurking) - it's time for me and t'cross trainer to battle it out again xxComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

RS, I don't know about ice cream makers, but it is one of my weak spots too and I have had a "find" this week in aldis. Frosty's fruit split ice lollies - orange, blackcurrant and strawberry flavour, filled with vanilla icecream and each one only 55 calories. I think they are delish, and I'm happily eating mine and ignoring OH and his family pack of revels.
I weighed myself today 3 days early, as it feels as though I've not been putting enough effort in with the food. I've been good about cutting out the cake and chocolate, but I've not exactly been going all out on the diet, just trying not to be a complete bloater. Anyway, still managed to lose 2lb so I'm well pleased. Given me the boost I need to stay good till the "proper" weigh in day when hopefully I will have lost even more.
My mushroom stroganoff made with the 25p whoopsie mushrooms last night was gorgeous! My first time making it and wasn't too sure how, but it turned out lovely. And I made it with half fat sour cream too so not overly calorific.
I've eaten loads today but lots of it healthy.
Breakfast: banana, grapes, melon, 2 poached eggs and half a baguette lol
Lunch: linda mcartney pie, carrots and peas, followed by low-cal ice lolly
Dinner: Might make falafel and hummus wraps2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Hello!
I am being a piggy today and I don't care so there!!:p Had french toast for brekkie, have been picking all day so haven't had lunch ( have instead picked at the food I've been cooking and had a yoghurt, a bowl of cereal and a herb bread muffin). Dinner for tonight is prepared as much as possible so minimal cooking left to do (thanks for the good luck wishes). We are having:
Brocolli and potato cakes with coriander and mint chutney to start.
Goan Prawn curry with yellow rice with lime and sesame, green beans with spices and nuts, and Goan sweetbread for main
Mango and coconut trifles for pud (These are sat in the fridge all finished and look yummy if I do say so myself! I tried the coconut custard - nomnomnom)
So seen as I had no hope of a calorie controlled day I said to myself - SOD IT, I'm going to enjoy meself!:D
Floyd - thanks for the info:D
I am going to be a good girl tomorrow, I don't think I'll be able to eat much until the X factor audition is out of the way anyway cos I'll be all nervous! I don't think the first audition is in front of Simon Cowell and all them lot though so that's something. If I get through this one I get called back on Monday I think - I assume that'll be the one that goes on telly although I'm sure the chances of that happening are VVV slim:o0 -
Foood today? Hmm been pickin a bit. Not too bad
Breakfast was soaked oats fruit etc.
Snack: Pear
Lunch, 1 sl bread cheese & pickle, salad and a spoonful of last night's risotto. half a yogurt lurking in fridge with a spoonful of granola.
Dinner..,, will have to be early because of the chorus show, will have end of risotto, other Ivies on chippy tea, Must take a snack for half time, otherwise will be hungry and falling over, Bad enough with the low BP without low blood sugar as well. Costumes , lights etc will be warm on stage,

just in case anyone is interested...- 1tsp dried yeast -I used a grapes sized piece of fresh

Hi all
Briefly back online after the gym (*glow, glow* hehe) and before going to cook dinner.
RS, thank you for your kind words about my recipes, am trying my best to cook varied and tasty things so I do not feel deprived! Let me know how it goes when you cook it for yourself and DD!
Re. ice cream, I could not make myself eat 1 spoonful like MrsM (a steel self-control, that is! How do you do it?). If I buy a tub, a tub goes down my tummy I'm afraid, so I just don't buy it when I am watching my weight. Ice cream is probably my worst downfall.
An alternative if you want to eat something sweet and frozen is freeze grapes and chunks of banana and then let them melt in your mouth. Of course not the same thing as ice cream, but not many calories! And free on SW.
Nix, if you have tofu in the freezer it will have become quite porous, so ideal for casseroles. Defrost, squeeze water out and then cut in chunks and treat as you would treat meat, in a tomato-based casserole, with lots of flavourings and herbs and spices, and chunks of veg. Eat with your quinoa. Or of course you could stir fry the chunks and then use in soup, with spring onions, lemon grass, broccoli, chinese mushrooms and noodles. Hope you will enjoy it.
Superspam, what a lovely meal, what's the occasion? I am sure you have told this before but I have been away and missed a lot of pages, will catch up when I have some time. Meanwhile, whatever it is, enjoy it!
Catznine, the emergency chocolate sounds like a good idea, and 70%, YUMMY! I am planning to get a 100% cocoa bar one of these days but haven't got around to order it on the internet.
Time to go and cook now, love to all, ciao
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
