hellz bellz me backs killing. This exercise is all bloomin' well but I'm nearly doubled up now I've taken a coffee break. :p

Had the time of my life out in the garden tho. Now this IS exercise that I can truly enjoy. :D I feel great that I've actually got my body moving AND I'm sowing the seeds for all my dinners in a few weeks time. How MS is that!
As I'm sowing each veg I'm trying to plan what recipes I'll use it in and likewise when I'm searching my recipes I'm planning what seeds to sow. :p

MRSMC - I'm a chunterer in the garden.. and a singer (which was embarrassing when I remembered my new neighbours aren't used to me yet :o ) The covered mug idea is great.. I'm a mucky pup and will often slurp the compost as well but in the greenhouse there's always the worry that a spider might drop in. Plus my cat is addicted to coffee and horlicks and would think nothing of dipping in when my backs turned.

Nix - Well done on that loss :T :T Crumbs if I didn't count my ounces I'd have been stuffed the last couple of weeks and I got praise for both losses. :p You did good! ;)

Kentish maid - loads of us agree with you about cooking exactly what you would normally cook the family but reducing the portion size of your own meal. I think thats what make this way so do-able.
I do sometimes have something different. ie.. when they have lasagne or spag bog I'm not overly keen so I'll have prawn omelette which they hate. :D
Can honestly say that although I've had to struggle a few times to control the 'comfort eating' I've not felt like I'm on a diet at all since I started doing this at the beginning of the year. Even my mum has finally stopped saying, 'you're not allowed this are you?' because now she realises that I can lose and have anything that I want. :T

Best get back into that garden and change the washing over before I begin to !!!!! out my cosmos. Have my nephew arriving after school so have baked a batch of Twinks hobnobs as he loves them. ;) See...I have temptation in the house too Kentish Maid. ;)

edited: hmmm they obviously don't like what I'm doing to my cosmos. I'm pricking it out in case you wondered. :p

Hi all. Quick today - been busy

Been good at the weekend other than some low fat oven chips ;)

Breakfast was porridge with raisins and cinnamon.
Lunch was salad (left over sugar snaps, baby sweetcorn, spinach, tiny bit of smoke salmon and some potato salad) - along with two of MrsM's ham and sun dried tomato scones.

Snacks are an apple and a pack of baked crisps.
    Tea will be fish pie.

The ham and sun dried toms scones were nice - and I had all the ingredients too. OH declared they were ok. Then nicked another one. Declared they wouldn't be nice without the sun dried toms. Then nicked one from my lunch! ;)

THey say that Fat (for want of a better word) People underestimate what they eat and in fact eat more than they say and more than Skinnies. There may be other things that I consume regularly that are 'invisible' as far as counting cals is concerned.

Has anyone ideas about where I should be looking?

    I'm using this site:

http://thedailyplate.com/ (The free service does all I want.) There are a lot of foods already on the database and you can add your own. It gives you totals for calories, protein, fibre etc for the day, based on what you tell it you've eaten (and drunk). It's made me revise my thinking a bit!
If we are supposed to be thin, why does chocolate exist?

    evening!
just finished my long working weekend!:j 2 days off now! but busy as usual!

toniwoty - hope you soon feel better!

nix - well done and to everyone else who has lost!

cheerfulness - hope the bread making went well - cant do it by hand myself as repetetive movements like kneading bring on tendontits in my wrist. I've got a bread machine but have to admit to not using it much as I eat too much thickly sliced toast and butter!:D

    MRSM and Frogga:hello:

not too bad over the weekend other than some applecrumble on saturday!;)
I think I've put on though since last weigh in 2 weeks ago but it has been TOTM and I've eaten a load of rubbish too!:D

    today I've had

    porridge

    banana

    mackerel on toast with salad

    fruit smoothie

veggie lasage, SW chips and salad

got some yoghurt and fruit for later.

off to have a browse, see you later x

:j yah:j weighed myself this morning - lost 2lb! This was my first weeks of trying properly. I do find that it takes me a little bit of time to sort my portion sizing out.:o

Think will treat myself to a glass of wine tonight, I now know why I'm a cheap date when I go out, when I pour myself some wine, I just put a bit in the bottom, which is around 80 - 100ml, if you're lucky when you go out you get served 175ml and more often than not 250ml:eek: . I must confess, if it's in my glass I drink it. Note to self - drink zider!:rotfl:

Well done everyone on their losses, don't think I'll make the weightloss of 5lb for the May day hols, but anything off is a bonus, just need to make sure I don't fall off the wagon and eat twice as much this week  .

On the windowsill greenhouse front - some of my squashes are peeking through and my tomatoes, just need to make sure the cat doesn't lie on them  . Got some plants rescued from B & Q reduced, baby sweetcorn, spinach and broccoli. When it stops raining I may brave it outside!

    Evening all:hello:

I've just had quorn sausage, mash, spring greens and HM onion chutney for tea, might have a yoghurt in a bit and maybe a SW HiFi bar.:D

I've walked 11,000 steps so far today and done lots of shiftin' at work. Boss came back today but has been in a world of his own for most of it!

OH had chippy for his tea due to the fact that as I walked in he told me he's handed in his notice    so I'm not in the best of moods!!

I think I might have that glass of wine tonight!

    See you tomorrow folks :A
